Last week, President Trump released the most America First budget that we have ever seen. Not only does Trump's budget fully fund the military and the country's vital national security programs, but it would also finally begin scaling back the out-of-control domestic spending programs that Obama and the Democrats forced down our throat.
Immediately after Trump delivered his budget to Congress, he started fielding angry calls telling him that it was dead on arrival. Sure, he got calls from Democrats. But what was remarkable was that Republicans were angry too...
Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) (shown above) chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee and told the President, in no uncertain terms, that he will not approve his budget. Republicans hate practically everything in the President's budget proposal. But one of the biggest sticking points is President Trump's plan for funding to the United Nations and other foreign aid programs.
Trump doesn't just want to cut some of it. He is cutting almost ALL of it!
The President promised to put America first and he is doing just that. But the idiot Republicans are refusing to support it. They are actually working with Democrats to increase funding to the organizations and countries that hate us...
I like to use this example because it perfectly illustrates where President Trump's head is at. Last year, the President announced that he was cutting practically all funding to the Palestinian Authority. The State Department had caught the Palestinian government and United Nations using US-funded textbooks to teach children to say "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." And while the Palestinian government claimed to not have enough resources to take care of their people, the leaders were caught purchasing a private jet (worth 50 million) and repurposing aid funding to reward the families of killed or imprisoned terrorists.
Across the board, it makes absolutely no sense to continue funding this. So, Trump cut it all. Not only did he cut direct funding to Palestine, but he also cut funding to the United Nations agency that works in Palestine.
Democrats were furious. That was easy to predict. But what we didn't expect was to see Republicans so angry about these kinds of cuts.
Last week, when the administration announced that it was considering withdrawing troops and aid from Western Africa, Lindsey Graham threatened to make the Defense Secretary's life a living hell if he went forward with the plan. When Trump doubled down on his foreign aid cuts to the Central American countries ignoring or even aiding the illegal alien caravans that have been storming the border, so-called "moderate" Republicans like Will Hurd vowed to block those funding cuts from going through.
No matter what this President does, there are GOP cowards ready to stand in front of a camera and condemn him for it...
So, here is where we stand. Donald Trump's cuts to the United Nations and foreign aid budgets are discretionary. What that means is that without Congressional support, these cuts are only temporary and he will eventually have to disburse the aid.
But if Congress passes a resolution approving these foreign aid cuts, then they would become permanent.
And that is precisely what we are fighting for!
Establishment Republicans aren't stupid. They know that the average American doesn't have the time to follow spending bills through the entire process, from start to finish. The GOP truly believes that they can get away with not only restoring the foreign aid that Trump cut, but also increasing it...
And even if their treachery does make it into the news, they know that it will be too late for Conservatives to stop them and within 24 hours, another drummed up scandal will replace it in the news cycle and people will move on.
But if you strike back right now, you can stop this madness before it's too late!
For the first time ever, we actually have a President willing to put America First, no matter what it takes. But unless you strike fear into the hearts of these GOP and Democrat cowards right now, they are going to undo Trump's cuts and give it all back!
