On Friday, President Trump ordered Border Patrol to close down the border to all non-essential travelers.
That should have been the end of it. But no, Border Patrol agents are now ignoring the President's directive and letting Mexicans into the country anyway.
Whenever someone shows up saying that they are going shopping or have a doctor's appointment, agents are just letting them through.
And here is what is truly disgusting. You might not know this, but Border Patrol doesn't just operate checkpoints at the border. They also operate checkpoints in the interior of the country, miles away from the border.
Border Patrol agents at these internal checkpoints are stopping the same Mexican nationals, miles inland. And when they get stopped again, they still claim they are going shopping for supplies... even though they passed multiple Walmarts already and could have gone shopping there.
"We're letting them through and that's pretty much the gist of it," one Border Patrol official admitted. "Nobody's enforcing it. It was put up -- the President put it out, the Chief Patrol put it out... and we're just not doing it."
We are in the middle of a pandemic and there are actually Border Patrol agents DEFYING a border closure order to let Mexican nationals in...
This is absolute madness. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that Border Patrol agents would actually defy the President and let cars into the country from Mexico.
But this is unfortunately just the beginning. Right now, there is a caravan of 500 people still marching its way through the United States. The caravan started in Honduras. Central American countries promised to block them from coming north. But the only thing these countries are doing is temperature checks at their borders. Anyone who does not have a fever is being let through to continue marching to the United States...
So to recap: we have Border Patrol agents refusing to close the border as the President commanded and we have a new migrant caravan marching its way north.
And we have Democrats who believe that the American government should take care of all of these people; that anyone who steps even one toe onto American soil should get a stimulus check, food assistance, medical care, etc. There are actually leftists who believe we should keep letting people in... It is INSANE!
President Trump is doing everything he can. He has ordered the borders with Mexico and Canada closed.
But now good agents are blowing the whistle and warning that people are still being let in! He is being ignored!
It is time to shut it down!
