Pelosi was just informed that she does NOT have enough votes to pass an impeachment inquiry bill. But instead of standing down, Pelosi and Schiff are expanding their impeachment investigation beyond Ukraine!
Democrats were all set to do it this week. Nancy Pelosi was going to call Donald Trump's bluff and hold a formal impeachment inquiry vote.
But when the Left began counting the votes, they were shocked. They came up short. The votes are not there to formally authorize an impeachment investigation.
So, Nancy Pelosi cancelled the vote and told Adam Schiff to keep going anyway. This whole thing is, and always has been, a sham.
There are 31 Democrats up for re-election next year in districts that Trump won. They know it is political suicide to vote for Pelosi and Schiff's impeachment witch hunt. They thought they could get away with it, but they've been getting so much push back that they had to back away.
They see that the Pelosi-Schiff impeachment narrative is falling apart and don't want to go down with the sinking ship.
But Pelosi is moving forward anyway. And we now know that the Democrats are expanding their impeachment investigation beyond the Ukraine call!
The whole thing was a lie from the beginning. Adam Schiff claimed there was a "whistleblower" with evidence that Trump threatened to withhold foreign aid from Ukraine unless they dug up "dirt" on Joe Biden.
That was a lie. First of all, Ukraine didn't even know their foreign aid was being withheld and all Trump asked the Ukrainian President was to cooperate with the Department of Justice's on-going investigation into the Biden Family's actions.
Then, Democrats claimed that Trump needed to be impeached for trying to cover it all up by hiding the transcript on a secret server. But that was a lie. The secure server was the same one the Obama administration used to safeguard transcripts of the President's conversations with world leaders.
Then, we learned that this whole story is nothing but a political hit-job. The so-called "whistleblower" had been working with Adam Schiff the whole time to build up the case so the Left could launch their impeachment investigation.
When that news broke, Adam Schiff said it was no longer necessary for the "whistleblower" to testify. But as Republicans insisted on it, Schiff proclaimed that the whistleblower would not be allowed to testify. Schiff wants to cover up his involvement in this whole hoax..
And that is what brings us to the biggest bombshell. Douglas Letter is the lawyer that Pelosi hired to run the Democrats' impeachment push. The Left just changed the house rules to classify the impeachment hearings as "depositions" so that only he and other approved lawyers can ask the witnesses questions.
Letter just admitted that the impeachment inquiry is no longer being limited to just Ukraine. The Left struck out with their Ukraine narrative, so now they are on a fishing expedition to find something -- anything -- they can use to impeach the President.
As President Trump is now challenging the House's subpoenas, Democrats have taken the fight to the courts.
"I can't emphasize enough," Letter told a Federal Judge during a hearing, "it's not just [about] Ukraine."
He was then asked by the Judge whether Donald Trump would have to commit a crime in order to be impeached. "No," the Democrats' lawyer replied.
These are Soviet tactics. In the USSR, Josef Stalin had a saying: 'You show me the man, and I will show you the crime.' Stalin would investigate his political enemies until there was something to prosecute them over. And if they actually happened to be clean, the Soviet government would simply make up a crime anyway.
That is what is happening here. Pelosi and Schiff know the President did nothing wrong re: Ukraine. They don't even have the votes within their own party to make impeachment investigation official. So, they are abusing their power to expand the investigation to try to find something they can use to destroy the President...
As I said, if a formal vote was held today to launch an impeachment investigation, it would fail. Pelosi doesn't have the votes. Vulnerable Democrats and the so-called moderate Republicans know it would be political suicide to sign onto this witch hunt.
You put the pressure on these cowards and they're starting to feel it!
But this is not good enough. It is not good enough for these Congressmen to simply refuse to vote for Pelosi's probe.
They MUST force a vote to shut this witch hunt down!
That is where you come in. The only thing that these people care about is their re-election. With just twelve months until the next election, they are terrified of making a wrong move and dooming their chances.
