A Trump supporter was murdered in the streets of Portland last night. We don't know his name yet, but as you can see from the image above, we know that he wore a "Blue Lives Matter" patch on his bag. He also allegedly was wearing a "Patriot Prayer" hat, a group that holds pro-free speech rallies in Portland in opposition to Antifa.
Moments before this conservative was gunned down, you can hear on the video that a bystander screams, "We got a Trumper right here." Someone replies, "Right here?" Two shots are then fired right into the man's chest. Police arrived on the scene quickly, but the man was pronounced dead.
Unlike the thugs in Kenosha who were killed after they cornered a 17-year-old boy in a parking lot or beat him over the head with a skateboard, the video shows that this conservative victim in Portland was simply walking down the street when he was killed. When the news reached Antifa in other areas of the city, they cheered. Even today, Leftists are cheering his death....
President Trump had offered to send Federal officers into Portland to help restore order, but Mayor Ted Wheeler replied with an open letter telling Trump he would not allow any Federal officers or troops to enter the city because the images of violence could be used to help Trump win re-election. Let me say that again: One of the reasons that the Mayor of Portland rejected Federal assistance is because he didn't want that to help Trump win reelection...
Wheeler proclaimed that the "protesters" in the streets were "peaceful" and part of a "proud progressive tradition. It only took a day for the rioters to target and murder a Trump supporter in the streets.
Our sources are telling us that President Trump is once again preparing to invoke the insurrection act to put an end to this violence and killing. But like clockwork, Democrats and their RINO allies are advancing legislation to stop him!
Stop the Leftists and GOPers from pulling the rug out from under Pres. Trump! You must rise up and join today's campaign, telling Republicans and Democrats alike that if they dare pass this bill to gut the Insurrection Act, they will all be removed from office!
The Insurrection Act has two important provisions that Trump can use to restore order in cities like Portland.
The first is found in 10 USC § 252: "Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion."
Then, in § 253, the law expands that power to allow the President to deploy troops or militia when (1) "any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law" and (2) "the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection."
The Insurrection Act was literally written for a moment like this. Not only are the riots making it impractical to enforce the law, but it is also clear that Americans are having their rights violated by these angry mobs and the Democrat Mayors and Governors are deliberately stepping aside to let it happen.
We are told that Trump started examining the Insurrection Act again after Senator Rand Paul and his wife were attacked by Antifa goons when they were leaving the GOP Convention. The RNC asked DC Mayor Muriel Bowser to allow the Secret Service to secure the streets around the White House, but she refused, instead choosing to surrender the streets to the "peaceful protesters."
Back in early June, Trump wanted to invoke the insurrection act to nip these violent protests in the bud. But he was convinced to hold off by GOPers who were concerned over the "optics" of Trump cracking down on "peaceful protests." But no one actually believes that these protests are peaceful anymore. Establishment Republicans threatened that if Trump went forward with his plan, they would team up with Democrats to amend the Insurrection Act to eliminate his power to act.
Now that Trump is again preparing to invoke the Insurrection Act, GOPers and Democrats are making good on that promise. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is advancing his bill, the Civil Act (S. 3902). This bill would amend the Insurrection Act to remove the President's ability to send troops or militia in to suppress insurrection unless the governor of a state agrees to receive the support or Congress agrees that the governor is unable or unwilling to protect his or her residents. Basically, unless Democrats in Congress agree that the Mayors or Governors have issued stand-down orders, Trump would not be allowed to restore order... Blumenthal has spent the past two months pressuring GOPers to sign onto his plan.
In the House, Nancy Pelosi successfully added an amendment to next year's National Defense Authorization Act to revoke Pres. Trump's power to invoke the Insurrection Act. At the time, one Republican -- Jaime Herrera Beutler -- voted with Democrats to pass the provision in the House.
The legislation has been collecting dust all summer because Trump agreed back in June not to put down the riots. But now that the President is preparing a new Insurrection Act declaration, Democrats and GOPers are banding together to stop him!
Stop the Leftists and GOPers from pulling the rug out from under Pres. Trump! You must rise up and join today's campaign, telling Republicans and Democrats alike that if they dare pass this bill to gut the Insurrection Act, they will all be removed from office!
Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-SD) is the highest-ranking Republican to come out against President Trump invoking the Insurrection Act to protect innocent American lives. Other RINOs like Mitt Romney (R-UT), Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) also said they opposed Trump using the 1807 law to restore order. Back in June, Rand Paul (R-KY) also opposed Trump's proposal, though it is unclear whether he has changed his mind now that he and his wife were attacked...
Back in June, we reported that there were enough GOPers in the Senate willing to vote with Democrats and against the President to pass this legislation into law. Unfortunately, that has not changed...
Now that Trump is once again preparing an Insurrection Act order to put an end to the riots and looting, the establishments of both parties are teaming up to stop him...
We tried it their way and things are not getting better. A Trump supporter was murdered in cold blood last night in Portland and the Antifa thugs celebrated in the streets.
But the Republican cowards care more about "optics" than they care about protecting innocent lives. They would rather the riots continue than allow Trump to act on his own.
You MUST rise up and stop them from passing this bill before it's too late!
Now or never,
