It worked! Thousands of likeminded Conservatives like you joined our campaign this week pressuring Congress and the White House to suspend immigration into the United States and last night, President Trump announced that he is doing just that!
Donald Trump has the power to suspend immigration when he believes it would be in the national interest. Congress gave the President these powers in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952:
“Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
This is the same authority Trump used to implement his original travel ban, as well as the more recent ban on travelers coming from China.
This new Trump order, however, will suspend ALL immigration, both legal and illegal. Border Patrol and ICE will no longer be required to house illegal aliens caught at the border. Everyone who tries to enter the United States will now be turned away.
This is common sense. For one, if Americans are being required to shelter in place to prevent the spread of the virus, it would be illogical to allow foreigners to continue entering the country. But also, given the fact that there are now 22+ million Americans out of work, it is suicidal to continue importing foreign workers.
Roosevelt implemented a similar program during the Great Depression, cutting immigration from one million people per year down to just under seven thousand... When Americans are out of work, it is simply unconscionable to import foreign workers to take their place...
But of course, Democrats are furious over Trump's decision. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) -- aka the Alleged Brother Lover -- is now leading the charge in Congress to push back on what she calls Trump's "blatant xenophobia."
She and other Leftists are calling on Pelosi to hold a vote on legislation to reverse Trump's order and let legal and illegal aliens back into the country!
The Left's legislation is called the No Ban Act. Not exactly the most imaginative title ever, but the legislation would eliminate the President's powers under the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952.
Instead of the President being able to suspend immigration, the power would be shifted to DHS, the State Department, and Congress. And, not surprisingly, the legislation would reverse all of President Trump's immigration executive orders...
Now here is the important part. This legislation has already cleared committee in the House of Representatives. On March 5th of this year, the House Committees on Foreign Affairs, Homeland Security, and Intelligence all considered the legislation and gave it the thumbs up for floor consideration.
What that means is that Nancy Pelosi has a clear path to bring this bill to the floor as soon as TOMORROW if she wants. And that is what the Leftists in her party are demanding.
That is why this is so dangerous. All of the time consuming work has already been done. We no longer have the ability to kill this bill at the subcommittee or committee level. The Speaker of the House can bring the bill to the floor for a vote and we would not have enough time to fight back.
That is why we are raising the alarm right now. If we wait for Pelosi to announce that this bill has been added to the Congressional calendar, it will be too late to block it.
Donald Trump is doing everything in his power to try to keep the American people safe. Not only is he blocking foreigners from bringing the disease into the country and create new outbreak hotspots, but the President is ensuring that when the economy does re-open, the 22 million Americans who lost their jobs will not have to compete against lower-wage foreign workers.
But the Democrats are so blinded by their Trump hate and and dedicated to their open border agenda that they are now moving forward with their plan to reverse all of President Trump's immigration bans...
You CANNOT let this happen!
You need to take action right now. The No Ban Act has already passed through three committees. Pelosi has simply been waiting for the right time to bring it to the floor, and Democrats are pressuring her to do just that.
We can still stop the Left from reversing Trump's travel bans, but the window is closing.
If you want to stop Ilhan Omar and her Leftist allies, you need to take action right now before it's too late!
