What a whirlwind 24 hours...
We started yesterday with terrible news. Mitch McConnell reported that by his count, the GOP did not have the votes to end the impeachment trial on Friday. On the record, Mitt Romney (UT), Susan Collins (ME), and Lisa Murkowski (AK) had already admitted they would be voting with the Democrats to authorize additional subpoenas for witnesses and documents, which would prolong the impeachment trial for months.
With those three turncoats, the Left only needed one more Republican to flp and they would have the votes to seize control over the process. It had appeared that at least one more GOPer had turned on the President.
I want to start this by saying thank you. With your help, we bombarded Congress yesterday, putting Democrats and Republicans on notice. We have delivered hundreds of thousands of FaxBlasts warning them that if they join this coup, when all is said and done, they will be the ones who get removed from office...
And the pressure is working. After admitting defeat, the GOP Leadership is now saying the vote has flipped yet again, and back in our favor!
Murkowski and Collins had a meeting late yesterday and after it was finished, met with other Republicans to tell them what they have decided. And the reports indicate that both are now leaning towards voting down the Democrats' witnesses and moving immediately to an acquittal vote!
While the momentum is shifting back in our favor, now is not the time to let-up! The vote is TOMORROW and it can still go either way!
The key moment in yesterday's question-and-answer period came when Susan Collins asked Adam Schiff and his team a clear question: If Donald Trump committed a crime like Bribery, why didn't they approve impeachment articles alleging actual crimes?
The response, delivered by Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY), was a total non-answer. Not only did he criticize Collins for even asking the question, but he said that even if Trump's actions were not crimes, they were "akin to crimes." Collins was seen then turning to Lisa Murkowski, who was sitting beside her, and complained about the Democrats refusing to answer her question.
And just like that, the momentum flipped back in our favor... All of this comes on the heels of another major bombshell development. Three Democrat Senators -- Joe Manchin (WV), Doug Jones (AL), Kyrsten Sinema (AZ) met yesterday and are considering voting with Republicans to acquit President Trump. Manchin also made news yesterday when he told MSNBC that if the Senate does vote to hear witnesses, he will support subpoenaing Hunter Biden.
And Sen. Dianne Feinstein (CA) made the biggest news of all. During a press interview, Feinstein told a reporter that since it is so close to the 2020 election, it should be up to the American people to decide if Trump gets removed from Congress. Leftists were furious with her sudden moment of honesty and started pressuring her to recant (which she reluctantly did).
I am telling you, we are on the cusp of victory. But the Left is fighting with everything they've got. Not only are they trying to flip Republicans, but they are also pressuring moderate Democrats to hold the line.
With the vote coming tomorrow, there is no time to waste!
It will all get decided tomorrow. If the GOP cowards flip, then the Democrats will have the power to prolong the impeachment trial for months.
But if we win... If we can hold the GOP's feet to the fire and force vulnerable Democrats to do the right thing, we can finally put an end to this.
That is why it is so important to stand up and fight right now!
It's time to win this!
