Democrats were furious that the CARES Act excluded illegal aliens from receiving stimulus checks. As Joe Biden declared in a recent video, they deserve checks because they're Americans too...
They have spent the past month scheming to try to get checks into illegal aliens' hands as possible. Even while Americans were still waiting for their stimulus checks, the Far Left wanted illegal aliens to jump the line.
Democrats rolled out two ways to bailout illegal aliens. The first is known as the Leave No Taxpayer Behind Act, a bill that would lift the Social Security Number requirement to receive stimulus assistance, all so that illegal aliens could join the program. The Left's backup plan is an unrestrictive bailout of cities and states. The House of representatives voted on, and approved, Nancy Pelosi's Heroes Act, which included 1 Trillion in unrestricted, no-strings-attached bailout funds to cities and states. That way, states like California and New York could send stimulus checks to illegal aliens, and use federal funds to do it.
We have been waging an all out war against both of these proposals. Thanks to Conservatives like you, we have sent millions of FaxBlasts to Congressional offices (both in DC and in their home districts) ordering Republicans and Democrats alike to kill these bills.
It is working! This week, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) (shown above) introduced the No Bailouts For Illegal Aliens Act, a bill that would block stimulus funds from ever being sent to illegal aliens!
You helped get this bill introduced. Now is the time to double down and help us get this legislation across the finish line and signed into law!
On Sunday, California began allowing illegal aliens to start applying for government sponsored coronavirus assistance. Governor Newsom wrote the program into the next budget, assuming that California would get tens of billions from Congress to help pay for it. Sen. Cotton introduced the No Bailouts For Illegal Aliens Act the very next day to put a stop to this madness.
The bill is simple. It would require that cities and states certify that they have not sent stimulus checks or other assistance payments to illegal aliens. Any city or state found to be putting the needs of illegal aliens ahead of the needs of Americans would lose access to ALL federal coronavirus relief funds. Not just the the assistance approved in the CAREs Act, but also any additional federal relief programs.
Americans living in these cities and states would still receive federal assistance, as would businesses. But the city and state governments themselves would be cut off.
This is common sense. Cities and states are claiming they don't have enough funding to care for American citizens, all while they are sending stimulus checks directly to illegal aliens...
Tom Cotton's bill is precisely what we have been fighting for. It was your activism and pressure that got us this far.
The hard part is over. The bill has been written and introduced. Now, it is up to you to get loud and FORCE Congress to pass it, either as an amendment or a standalone bill! But the only way that happens is if you demand it!
Congress is moving forward with a phase four stimulus bill. Republicans and Democrats are negotiating what is in it and both sides want to hold a vote by the end of the month.
At the same time, liberal cities and states are rushing to get stimulus checks out to illegal aliens as fast as possible before this legislation blocks them from doing it.
