This is something that we have been saying for a long time. The whole purpose of the Trump-Russia investigation is to undo the results of the 2016 election.
The Establishment and Deep State couldn't beat Trump at the ballot box, so they committed themselves to defeating him in the jury box...
For months, we've been getting emails telling us that Mueller's investigation isn't a witch hunt. Even though he has yet to charge a single American with colluding with the Russians, or vice versa, we're supposed to just sit back while Mueller and his band of 17 angry Democrats try to destroy the President by any means necessary.
We will not.
Just in the last 24 hours, a pretty remarkable news story broke: Both Clinton For America and the Democrat National Committee paid Christopher Steele -- the author of the debunked Trump-Russia dossier -- to help them challenge the legitimacy of the 2016 election.
After all the fearmongering from the Left that Trump would challenge the election's legitimacy if he lost, the Democrats hired Fusion GPS and the dossier's author to do just that... by peddling lies about Trump to get him investigated.
Here is what Steele said recently about the reason he was working on the dossier (and this is a complete quote):
"Fusion's immediate client was law firm Perkins Coie. It engaged Fusion to obtain information necessary for Perkins Coie LLP to provide legal advice on the potential impact of Russian involvement on the legal validity of the outcome of the 2016 election.
Based on that advice, parties such as the Democrat National Committee and HFACC Inc. (also known as 'Hillary For America') could consider steps they would be legally entitled to take to challenge the validity of the outcome of that election."
The entire basis for the Mueller investigation was a fraud. Trump was never colluding with the Russians. There would be no Trump investigation without the dossier and the whole reason for the dossier was apparently to challenge the legitimacy of the election if Trump did happen to win.
There never was any collusion. That was just an excuse to launch the investigation in search of some other "crime" to use to bring the President and his allies down.
That is why instead of investigating collusion, Robert Mueller is now collaborating with rogue Federal prosecutors to go after the President for campaign finance violations...
The Obama campaign was fined for millions in unreported campaign finance violations. The Clinton campaign is currently being investigated for 84 million in campaign finance violations. Neither involve any jail time.
But for Trump, the Deep State wants to throw the book at him. Democrats are already talking about impeaching the President because his personal lawyer paid off accusers and didn't report it to the FEC. That is the crime the left is calling their smoking gun...
This will never stop. Mueller and his crew will not stop investigating the President until they find something they can use to destroy him. The Mueller team is already demanding that President Trump sit for another round of questioning. Not on Russian collusion, but on other topics. This witch hunt has gotten out of control.
Congress must pass a spending bill by the end of this week to keep the government up and running. Usually, this wouldn't be news. However, spineless Republicans are using this to slip in as many anti-Conservative amendments as possible. And now, at the eleventh hour, there is movement on a despicable amendment to prevent Robert Mueller from ever being fired.
Jeff Flake is demanding that Congress attach an amendment to the Justice Department spending bill that would make Robert Mueller the most powerful person in the entire Executive Branch!
The Establishment never wanted Trump to win. The entire Trump-Russia investigation was designed to reverse the results of the 2016 election. Now, on the way out the door, many defeated never-Trumpers are trying to take one more stab at the President by making Mueller's investigation permanent.
Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has teamed up with Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) to force a vote this week on their Mueller protection bill. Because the Republicans only hold a one vote majority in the Senate, Flake has the power to force the GOP leadership to pass his amendment.
The legislation would make Mueller untouchable. No one in Congress or the Executive Branch would be allowed to fire him or cut his funding, even for cause. Any allegation against Mueller would be heard by the Judiciary, specifically judges in the DC Circuit.
No one in this country has voted for Mueller. He wasn't even confirmed by the Senate to this post. And yet, the Flake-Coons bill would make Robert Mueller the most powerful person in government and allow the investigation into Trump to go on forever!
This Flake-Coons legislation has already made it through committee. Republicans Senators Flake, Graham, and Grassley joined the Democrats to approve the Mueller protection bill already. It can come to the floor at any moment and Flake has just announced that his bill now has sufficient votes (60+) to pass the Senate.
He is going to try to sneak it through!
It is not a coincidence that the GOP establishment pushing to protect Mueller right as this latest news about the dossier broke. The GOP cowards are willing to do anything to remove this President from office.
