Every year, Congress approves billions in funding for the United Nations. As soon as the funds are delivered, the UN immediately starts spending it on its anti-American programs.
This past year, though, was a little different. Trump implemented so many funding cuts that the UN was forced to shut down a lot of their programs just to avoid bankruptcy. One of the freezes that the UN had was on all new hiring. Trump's cuts were so significant, the United Nations stopped hiring new employees.
That all changed last month. When Congress approved the 2020 spending package, it included new funding for the United Nations. The UN was able to escape from the brink of bankruptcy. All of a sudden, UN departments and agencies started posting their new job listings.
The most interesting listing comes the UN's Office of Rule of Law. They are looking to hire multiple experts in civilian disarmament.
Typically, these disarmament officers are stationed abroad in conflict zones and are expected to speak the local languages. These positions, however, will be located in the United States and the only language they are required to know is English...
If you look around the globe, every other English speaking country has already disarmed their people. The only one left for the UN to disarm is us!
One of the disarmament officer's jobs will be to work with UN member countries and "other interested partners" to implement new gun control measures.
President Donald Trump withdrew from the UN Arms Trade Treaty, so there won't be any cooperation at the Federal level. But if you look at states like Virginia, where Democrats are openly and unapologetically talking about sending troops door to door to confiscate people's guns, it gets a lot scarier...
And the biggest slap in the face is that the UN is doing this with our taxd ollars...
Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL) has a bill that would fix that. It is called the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. It would pull the plug on our contributions to the United Nations and only allow the State Department to spend funds to withdraw from UN agencies. It would revoke the diplomatic immunity of UN officials living in the United States and would ensure that American soldiers are never again controlled by UN officials.
Every time the United States sends funding to the United Nations, they use it to target our liberties and our sovereignty. This legislation would put a stop to it, once and for all!
The UN's disarmament agency is just the latest in a long list of the United Nations' anti-American programs. They are also working with Russia and China on a new cybercrime treaty that would help countries crack down and silence free speech on the internet.
It is a reminder that the UN isn't just going after the 2nd Amendment, but the 1st as well...
And it has to stop. We should not be sending billions every year to United Nations bureaucrats who want nothing more than to destroy our most basic liberties.
Rep. Mike Rogers' bill would put an end to the UN's anti-American efforts once and for all, but it is up to YOU to force the vote on it!
