In March, President Trump ordered the State Department to cut ALL foreign aid to Central America. Specifically, he targeted Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
These are the countries that have been caught helping illegal alien caravans reach the United States. Instead of arresting the caravan leaders, these corrupt countries have been aiding and abetting these invaders.
So, Trump ordered his administration to pull the plug. The Obama holdovers in the State Department did everything they could to stop Pres. Trump. They tried desperately to save the funding.
But last week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo finalized the aid cuts. Hundreds of millions will now be reprogrammed. Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador won't get ANY of the aid funding... until they can prove they are helping the administration stop the illegal alien caravans.
Democrats are furious. Republicans are furious. And now Congress has a bill to undo these cuts and restore the hundreds of millions that Paul Ryan promised these countries!
Over the past decade, we have given El Salvador 1.15 billion in foreign aid. Did that stop illegal immigration? No. Today, 20% of all Salvadoran nationals live in the United States. The majority of them are here illegally. We gave this country over a billion dol-lars and the result was that one in every five Salvadorans moved to the US. It is disgusting.
But the GOP and Democrats still believe that the best way to stop illegal immigration is give foreign aid to the countries that are sending us these illegals...
After Paul Ryan announced his retirement last year, he began working with other GOP traitors to stab President Trump in the back. Ryan teamed up with Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) to block President Trump's border wall project and give the funding to these Central American countries instead...
Trump punched back and stopped the aid disbursements. But now, Congressional leaders are working together to undo these cuts and force the Trump administration to carry out the aid disbursements.
There is a provision, tucked away in the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, mandating that "not less than 615 million shall be made available for assistance for countries in Central America."
Trump would still be able to cut foreign aid if this bill passes, but not below that 615 million mark... In practice, that means that the President would have to disburse all of the foreign aid to these countries.
House Democrats are demanding that this provision survive into the final bill. And the GOP agrees!
Republicans and vulnerable Democrats are counting on one thing: They are counting on you to not read the bill. They want to be able to pass this massive spending package without you knowing what is in it.
That way, they can vote on it without facing the consequences.
But that isn't going to work, is it? Now you know what is happening. Now you know that these cowards are trying to stab President Trump in the back and give your hard earned taxdol lars to these foreign countries.
And now that you know, it is up to you to stop them!
Only you can stop this and it has to be NOW!
