Nancy Pelosi just caved to the radical leftists and agreed to block all funding for Trump's deportation raids!
Over the weekend, we got a glimpse into the drama unfolding in the Democrat Caucus. Nancy Pelosi basically accused Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of being a nobody. Pelosi said that AOC has no real power in the caucus, just a social media following. The radicals in the party punched back at Pelosi and accused her of being the one out of touch.
The Democrat Party has moved so far to the left that Pelosi is now their "moderate" voice. This is crazy.
But while the social media jabs played out in public for the country to see, Democrat leadership were working behind closed doors with Leftist Representatives to try to come to a compromise. Today, we know what that compromise is going to be.
Pelosi will not bring the Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2020 to the floor for a final vote this summer. She agreed to blocking ALL of Homeland Security's funding in order to stop the President from deporting a million illegal alien criminals!
As you know, Congress has the Constitutional responsibility to pass 12 appropriations bills every year to keep the government funded. So far, the Senate has not passed any appropriations bills. The House has passed all but two: the bills funding the Legislative Branch and the Department of Homeland Security.
We have covered the Legislative Branch bill in depth. That legislation has been tabled because Congressional leaders are trying to figure out a way to sneak through a pay raise for members of Congress without you knowing about it. (Don't worry, we will let you know the minute that a vote is scheduled)
But the other bill is being held up because it is the package that funds both Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Ken Cuccinelli is the Trump administration's Acting Director of the Citizenship and Immigration Services office and went on Face the Nation over the weekend. Not only did Cuccinelli confirm that President Trump has authorized nationwide deportation raids to move forward, but Cuccinelli also announced that one million illegal aliens are being targeted.
Just a reminder: these are one million illegal aliens who have already committed a crime and were ordered removed from the country by a Federal judge. They had their due process and they lost their cases. But instead of surrendering to authorities, these illegals just disappeared into the country and have been fugitives from justice ever since.
The challenge, however, is funding the deportation raids. With the government's fiscal year ending at the end of the summer, ICE will run out of funding long before they reach a million deportations.
Yesterday, we told you about the Establishment's plan to "legalize" these illegal alien criminals by passing an amnesty bill that would give convicted criminals a pathway to citizenship. Today, I want to tell you about the other half of the establishment's sinister plan.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's (D-MD) just announced that the DHS funding bill will not get a vote this summer. What does that mean? The House is refusing to fund ICE or Border Patrol next year. They're just not going to pass a bill. Their plan is to give these million illegals amnesty by cutting off the funding for immigration enforcement operations.
President Obama gave illegal aliens amnesty by refusing to enforce our immigration laws against them. Trump has ordered ICE to start deporting these criminals, but the Left is refusing to fund it at all!
On July 3, ICE announced that they have finally captured and deported two dangerous illegal alien criminals: Jose Silvestre-Ortega and Jonathan Rosario Morillo (both from the Dominican Republic). Both men were convicted of felony drug charges (they dealt cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin). Even though they were ordered removed from the country, they fled justice to avoid deportation. After spending years hunting them down, ICE was able to deport both men back to their home country last week (where they are also wanted on Murder charges...).
But if the Democrats' new plan succeeds, ICE wouldn't even have enough funding to carry out these kinds of deportation raids!
We are fighting a two front war. Yesterday, we hammered Congress with FaxBlasts demanding that they kill the amnesty bill being negotiated by the Democrats and Establishment Republicans. But that is only half of their plan. Now, there is consensus within the Democrat party to block ALL funding to ICE for deportation raids, even against convicted violent criminals!
Even if we can block their amnesty bill, they can still win by refusing to approve funding for Trump to deport the illegals.
We really are running out of time. Deportation raids are set to begin any day now but if Congress does not approve new funding for ICE and Border Patrol, the raids will have to be called off!
Please, fight back now and stop this disgusting open border plot!
