This is an urgent alert! Democrats in Congress just held their first vote on a bill to surrender the United States' sovereignty to the United Nations' radical Climate Treaty!
Nancy Pelosi brought H.R. 9 to the floor this week. The bill would undo Pres. Trump's withdrawal order and keep the United States in the UN's Paris Climate Treaty for good.
Remember, this was a treaty that the United States Senate never ratified. Barack Obama signed it himself and pledged 3 billion in discretionary funds to help the UN redistribute America's wealth to other countries. Had Hillary Clinton won, the United Nations would have gotten all of it. But the Obama administration was only able to disburse 1 billion before Trump was sworn in.
The Constitution's Treaty Clause exists to make sure that Presidents cannot impose international law on American citizens without two-thirds of the Senate agreeing. Pelosi and the Democrats, however, found a work around and are pushing their UN Climate Treaty plan through as a piece of legislation.
While Presidents cannot legislate, Congress can. And just because there aren't the votes to ratify the United Nations' treaty doesn't mean that Congress can't pass identical environmental regulations.
Not only does it give the House of Representatives a say in this, but it reduces the threshold needed in the Senate for the bill to pass. Instead of needing 67 Senators to ratify the treaty, Pelosi's bill only technically needs 60. And if they can successfully attach it to revenue bill, then the number can drop all the way down to 51.
Barack Obama knew that the GOP Senate wouldn't ratify the United Nations' radical climate agenda, so he signed onto the Treaty himself and began implementing it through executive orders. Pelosi is trying to bypass the Constitution as well, but this time the Democrats are trying to go through the legislative process.
You must stop them!
Extremist left wing Democrats demanded that Pelosi go further on 'climate change.' They wanted a radical bill similar to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal. The Democrat leadership, however, knew that Republicans would never sign onto such a radical plan. So, Pelosi struck a 'compromise' with Moderate Republicans to instead surrender America's sovereignty to the United Nations.
That is what GOP negotiators settled on...
The Left's bill, known as the Climate Action Now Act, would essentially set Barack Obama's UN Treaty signature into stone. The bill would prohibit the Trump administration from using any taxdoll ars to withdraw from the agreement. Even though the treaty was never ratified, this legislation would force the United States to bow to UN rule.
It would also force the United States to continue paying into the UN's wealth redistribution scheme. Democrats would fulfill Obama's promise and give billions to the UN to redistribute to countries like China and India, the two biggest countries that are trying to take American jobs...
Leftists can either push this through as a stand alone bill, or they can sneak it in as an amendment on a must-pass piece of legislation. Establishment Republicans did this last year. Senators Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins, and Lamar Alexander teamed up with Democrats to slipped an amendment into a spending bill restoring most of the UN climate change funding that Pres. Trump had cut. This new bill would restore it all and prevent Trump ever from withdrawing.
We are so close to ending this and cutting off the United Nations for good. Democrats realize this and are desperate to stop Trump from withdrawing.
You need to force Congress to hold the line!
The United Nations bureaucrats are licking their lips. They know they're this close to getting their power back.
And it is our responsibility to stop them!
