Remember Lisa Page? The FBI lawyer who was having an affair with Peter Strzok and actively trying to stop Trump from winning the election?
Congress sent her a subpoena last week demanding that she show up today for a deposition.
Late last night, her lawyers informed Congress that she would not be showing up because she 'needs more time' to prepare. She isn't ready to tell the truth yet and needs to be coached on what to say.
She was lawfully subpoenaed. She has absolutely no right to say 'no.' But that is exactly what is happening.
Conservative lawmakers like Jim Jordan, Mark Meadows, and Ron DeSantis blasted Page for defying Congress.
"Lisa Page ignores congressional subpoena, once again showing the double standard," Jordan declared. "One set of rules for regular Americans, a different set for the swamp."
He's absolutely right. Defying a lawful subpoena is illegal and if anyone else did it, they'd be in jail right now...
Rep. Bob Goodlatte is the head of the House Judiciary Committee. After learning that Page was refusing to show up, he threatened to use "all tools" at their disposal to force her to testify.
But immediately after he issued that statement, Goodlatte went silent. Paul Ryan stepped in and ordered him to cool it.
We saw this a week and a half ago, too. At the last minute, Paul Ryan slipped an amendment into a resolution giving Deep Stater Rod Rosenstein an extra week to comply with months-old subpoenas. The votes were there to hold Rosenstein in contempt, but Ryan demanded that Congress give him more time.
Well, that deadline came and went and guess what: Rosenstein still hasn't handed over all the documents and Congress has not voted to hold him in Contempt. Ryan is protecting him.
They broke the law! Send your instant message to Congress and FORCE them to hold Rosenstein, Strzok, and Page in Contempt of Congress, or else be removed themselves!
Lisa Page was subpoenaed to testify today. She just refused to show up to answer Congress' questions. That is illegal.
Rod Rosenstein was subpoenaed to hand over the evidence that the Obama administration was spying on the Trump campaign. He has refused to hand over all of the documents. That is illegal.
Now, we are hearing that Peter Strzok, the other Deep State criminal, is considering defying his subpoena and not showing up to his hearing tomorrow. If he doesn't appear before Congress, that will be illegal as well.
This is the Deep State's plan. They know that they can get away with defying Congressional subpoenas because the GOP establishment will not allow contempt or impeachment votes to move forward.
The House Freedom Caucus has issued threats but the GOP leadership is refusing to allow them to follow-through. The result is that Rosenstein, Page, and Strzok are allowed to openly defy Congress without consequence.
This is unacceptable.
President Trump is demanding that Congress drop the hammer on these criminals. He just tweeted out,
"I am on Air Force One flying to Nato and hear reports that the FBI lovers, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page are getting cold feet on testifying about the Rigged Witch Hunt headed by 13 Angry Democrats and people that worked for Obama for 8 years. Total disgrace."
We have confirmed that the Trump White House is putting new pressure on Congress to pull the rug out from under these anti-Trump agents and compel them to comply with the subpoenas... by any means necessary.

Please, send your instant message to Congress and DEMAND that they hold Rosenstein, Strzok, and Page in Contempt of Congress, or else be removed from office!
Ryan is blocking these subpoenas from being enforced because he thinks he can get away with it. After all, he isn't running for re-election, so he doesn't have to worry about being voted out.
But he is still beholden to the rest of the Congressional leadership, and they are beholden to the rank-and-file members.
And do you know who they are beholden to? You!
We have gotten it this far. We are now one vote away from holding all of these deep state criminals in contempt. We just need to get past Ryan and the GOP leadership.
We have a chance, right now, to unravel the Deep State's efforts to stop President Trump from governing. Not only would Rosenstein's removal allow President Trump to appoint someone else to regulate the Mueller witch hunt, but it would put a stop to the DOJ's efforts to cover for the Deep State's crimes.
Lisa Page and Peter Strzok were the ones who started the Russia investigation. If Congress can force them to testify and get evidence of their biases, then the entire Mueller probe will have to be shut down under the Fruit of the Poison Tree doctrine.
The President has given Conservatives in Congress the green light to go after these criminals. The Contempt of Congress resolutions and Articles of Impeachment have already been written.
Ryan forced Devin Nunes and Bob Goodlatte to give these Deep Staters one last chance to comply and they spit in their faces.
Now Paul Ryan wants to protect them even more? Not a chance.
