We are losing ground to the anti-gun GOPers!
Last night, police in Philadelphia went to serve a warrant against Maurice Hill, a convicted felon. Hill's rap sheet is a mile-long. It includes illegal firearm possession, illegally carrying a firearm in public, drug crimes, 15 charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and even attempted murder.
By all definitions, he was not legally allowed to own a firearm. And yet, when police showed up to serve the warrant, he opened fire on the unsuspecting officers. Six police officers were injured, but all are expected to fully recover.
Before the facts were even known, Democrat politicians flocked to the nearest television camera and demanded that Republicans vote on their new gun ban bill.
A felon, who couldn't legally own a gun, shot police officers and the Left wants to use this as an excuse to disarm law-abiding citizens... They are demanding that the GOP disarm you. It is disgusting.
If you told me this a year ago, I'd say it was impossible. But in the last week, we have seen even pro-gun Republicans start to flip.
Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) received an A-rating from the NRA last year when he ran for re-election. He just flipped to support Dianne Feinstein's radical gun ban bill. And he is not alone. We are counting dozens of GOPers who are negotiating with Democrats over new gun ban legislation.
They must be stopped!
Fox News just released a poll that shows that two-thirds of Americans allegedly support David Cicilline (D-RI) and Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA) and new "assault weapons ban,"
Of course, the pollsters didn't explain what was in the bill. The Assault Weapon Ban of 2019 (S.66) goes further than any other gun control bill ever introduced. In addition to banning millions of AR-15s -- the most commonly owner rifle in America -- it would target tens of millions of other semi-automatic rifles as well. The bill states that if a semi-automatic rifle has a grip, or "any other characteristic that can function as a grip," it would be automatically outlawed. So, if you can hold the gun in your hand, it would be banned. This is an exact quote from the bill.
Democrats have flooded the airwaves with plans to ban so-called "assault weapons" and "weapons of war" and it is unfortunately working. They are flipping GOP voters and Members of Congress faster than ever before. But they are still trying to keep the details of their bill hidden for as long as possible.
That is because they know if the American people realized what was in the bill, support would plummet. For example, Dianne Feinstein's legislation would ban 204 different models of firearms. When the original version passed in 1994, it banned just 24... It would also outlaw millions of the most commonly-owned handguns. My concealed carry pistol would be banned because it has a threaded barrel. The pistol I keep locked in my truck would be banned because it has an arm brace. I went through the bill and was shocked that even my goose hunting shotgun would be banned...
There is absolutely nothing reasonable about this bill whatsoever. It wouldn't target criminals. Maurice Hill was a convicted felon and he had no problem illegally acquiring handguns and an AR-15. He also didn't care that it was illegal to try to kill police officers. Criminals will still get their hands on these guns, one way or another. Only the law-abiding citizens would be disarmed...
Last week, the GOP hinted that they didn't think there was a "political appetite" in this country for a new gun ban. After an entire week of Leftist propaganda, the latest polls now show that a majority of Republicans support the ban.
We are losing this fight!
We have never faced a fight like this before. Whenever there was a gun control push in the past, there was always this understanding that the GOP would hold the line. Even if only to preserve their political power, Republicans would always stop these gun bans from moving forward.
However, this time, the GOP isn't even pretending to fight back. Republicans are actually helping the Democrats push this forward.
Gun control advocates are fighting with everything they've got. They have spent the past 25 years trying to implement their radical gun ban. They think the time is now.
You MUST stop them!
