The vote is set for TOMORROW to issue subpoenas to both Joe and Hunter Biden for documents and testimony.
There is no longer any doubt. Whether the Bidens' overseas schemes were illegal or simply unethical, there are more questions than answers at this point.
Why was Hunter Biden hired to represent a Romanian real estate developer being prosecuted for fraud? Why was Hunter Biden hired to serve on Burisma's board of directors and paid 50k+ a month, even though he had no expertise in the Ukrainian energy industry? Did Joe Biden know that the prosecutor who he forced Ukraine to fire was investigating his son's company? How did someone kicked out of the Navy for drug use manage to secure an estimated 1.5 billion in Chinese funding for a private equity firm immediately after visiting China with his father on Air Force Two?
Hunter Biden has already admitted that he leveraged his family name to get these jobs. Joe Biden has already been caught in a lie, claiming that he never spoke to Hunter about his foreign dealings. Remember, we also have a picture of Joe Biden playing golf with Hunter AND another Burisma board member (shown above). Saying that business never came up during a golf outing is like saying Bill Clinton ambushed Loretta Lynch on the tarmac because he wanted to talk about their grandkids... Or that Hillary Clinton's 36,000 deleted emails were about Chelsea's wedding... It just doesn't pass the smell test!
The vote on the subpoenas is set for TOMORROW. And Ron Johnson isn't just subpoenaing the Bidens. He also wants to force a vote on a subpoena for Andrii Telizhenko, the Ukrainian Embassy who was approached by the DNC to help defeat Trump during the 2016 campaign. As you remember, this is one of the witnesses that Republicans tried to call during the impeachment investigation, but both Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler blocked it.
Democrats are desperate to put a stop to this before it goes any further. They are even threatening to boycott the committee meeting tomorrow and deny Johnson the quorum he needs to hold a vote on the subpoenas.
Republicans are also starting to get cold feet. After originally opposing the subpoenas, and then agreeing to support them, Mitt Romney is still a wild card. With Democrats putting up this fight, he is once again accusing this of being overly politicized and hinting he could flip again. Some are now saying that the vote could have to be postponed indefinitely...
You CANNOT let the Democrats and Establishment Republicans sabotage this investigation!
We have gone through three years of non-stop Trump investigations. Trump's own family members have been dragged before Senate and House committees and forced to testify. Democrats have actually publicly advocated throwing Donald Trump Jr in prison.
But even though those Trump investigations failed to turn up criminal investigations, it told us a lot about how the Bidens have been using their political status for their own personal enrichment.
I will say it again: whether Joe and Hunter Biden broke any laws is largely irrelevant. If what Hunter Biden did wasn't technically illegal, it should be! And Congress has every right to probe their actions to decide whether a change in the law is necessary.
Unlike the Democrats non-stop investigations against Trump, looking into Joe and Hunter Biden actually has a legitimate legislative purpose.
Which is why we are seeing so many Democrats and Republicans fighting back against us. They aren't just trying to protect the Bidens. The truth is that many people in Congress have almost identical schemes going on in their family.
Nancy Pelosi's own son has sat on the board of an energy company. Every election cycle, Maxine Waters pays her daughter hundreds of thousands to mail letters on behalf of the campaign. You wonder why Mitt Romney is so hesitant to do a deep dive into Burisma? One of Romney's longtime political advisors -- Joseph Cofer Black -- served on the Burisma board at the same time as Hunter Biden.
The list literally goes on and on. Many of these Republicans and Democrats oppose this Biden investigation precisely because they fear they could be next...
They were sent to DC to do the People's business. But as is far too often the case, many of these Republicans and Democrats seem only interested in serving themselves...
This vote is critical. If it goes through, then we will finally have an investigation into the Bidens and their overseas schemes and can start unraveling their stories.
But if the establishments of both parties succeed in blocking these subpoenas, we may never get another chance like this again!
It's time to go on offense!
