Yesterday, the UN Security Council met for its quarterly meetings and the rest of the world immediately began ganging up on Ambassador Nikki Haley.

They were demanding that the United States give more funding to Palestine. As you know, President Trump decided to cut aid to the Palestinians this year. Whereas Obama had promised them 360 million, Trump cut it to just 60 million.

Why would American taxpayers fund Palestinian school textbooks that teach children 'Death to America' and 'Death to Israel?' Why would we prop up the Palestinian Authority when the leadership was caught ordering a private jet instead of funding their own aid programs? Why would we support an organization that actively supports terrorist groups?

Nikki Haley delivered a sharp message yesterday. The American taxpayers will no longer fund anti-American countries. Period.

The United Nations erupted in anger, demanding that the US reauthorize its funding.

No, it's time to do the opposite. It is time to cut it all!

Help Conservatives in Congress defund the UN once and for all! Tell Congress they MUST permanently cut the UN's funding!

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) is the Chairman of the Freedom Caucus and this is one of his most famous times of the year: Appropriations Season.

July to September is when Congress marks up and votes on the following year's spending bills. While the budget approves the total amount of government funding, the appropriations bills dictate what that funding can and cannot be used for.

The big appropriations fight is over the border wall. Democrats and moderate Republicans want zero funding for new border barriers. Conservatives are fighting for 5B in new border wall and security spending.

But Mark Meadows believes conservatives can walk and chew gum at the same time. That is why in addition to pushing for the border funding, he and the Freedom Caucus are moving forward with a bill that Conservatives have been dreaming of for decades: fully defunding the United Nations.

"We continue to send money to the UN for countries who are anti-American and anti-Israel," Meadows declared, "It's got to stop."

"Don't you think it's about time that it stops? It's about time."

It is called the HR193, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. It will likely never pass as a standalone bill. But the goal is to slip the language into a spending bill to cut off the UN's funding entirely!

Last year, Conservatives were able to slip in an amendment to defund any UN agency that works against America's interest. However, at the last moment, that amendment was watered down and left up to the discretion of the Secretary of State. At the time, Rex Tillerson refused to budge.

This time, Conservatives in Congress are going for it all.

The amendment's language is simple: "No funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available for assessed or voluntary contributions of the United States to the United Nations or to any organ, specialized agency, commission or other formally affiliated body of the United Nations, except that funds may be appropriated to facilitate termination of United States membership and withdrawal of United States personnel and equipment."

The only funds that the government would be allowed to spend on the UN would be for withdrawing from it!

Cut off the funding! Send your FaxBlast and DEMAND that Congress pass HR 193 to defund the United Nations once and for all!

Every year, the American Government cuts a check to the tune of 3+ billion to fund the United Nations and its programs. The UN then uses this money to deliberately target the United States and bypass Congress and the Constitution. They use it to attack our sovereignty and our values.

It’s time to cut the cord.

Think of all the good we could do with this money instead of wasting it away on the United Nations.

For decades, the thought of defunding the United Nations was seen as a “fringe” proposal. It was something we all wanted, but our elected officials seldom brought up.

Times have changed. The last time this was proposed -- in response to the UN's radical attacks against Israel -- even Chuck Schumer admitted it is time to pull our funding. This issue cuts across the political spectrum. There aren't a lot of things that Ted Cruz and Chuck Schumer both agree on...

Congress needs to defund the United Nations once and for all. Luckily, we have never been closer to accomplishing this.

But “almost” is not good enough. If the UN gets its usual funding again, they will have another year to use it to violate our rights and our sovereignty.

The time to defund the UN is now.

The time for you to take action and join the fight is NOW!

It’s time to cut off the UN’s funding! Please, send your urgent FaxBlast to Congress and DEMAND they pass HR 193 to defund the United Nations permanently!

Sincerely

Joe Otto
