A few weeks ago, I told you about Special Warfare Operator Chief Edward Gallagher. This man is an American hero and a highly decorated Navy SEAL. Gallagher has twice received the Bronze Star for Valor for his service on SEAL Teams 1 and 7.
But today, he sits in a Federal military prison in solitary confinement as he awaits trial. His crime? He allegedly killed an ISIS terrorist while deployed in the Middle East.
That's right. Military prosecutors are trying to ruin this man's life because he allegedly killed an ISIS fighter...
As I said, Edward Gallagher has been locked away in prison along with convicted rapists, pedophiles, and murderers and he hasn't even being allowed to present a defense yet. When his children come to visit him, they reportedly have to wear hospital gowns for the duration of the visit and are only allowed to hug their father once. Why? Because the prison guards don't want to 'excite' the convicted pedophiles that this hero is being locked up with...
We have launched a major campaign demanding that Congress fight for this American hero. Back when we learned about the case of this mistreated hero, there was only one member of Congress also fighting for him: Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA).
But I am happy to say that our campaign is working! Today, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) is taking up Chief Gallagher's case. He will be on Fox News throughout the day today to raise awareness about how this American hero is being mistreated.
And he isn't alone. 17 other Congressmen have also signed on to help free Edward Gallagher!
This hero answered the call and fought to defend you. Will you rise up today and fight for him?
Back on the morning on September 11, 2018, more than twenty armed NCIS Swat agents stormed Edward Gallagher's home and took him away in handcuffs. They pulled his young sons out of the home at gunpoint, while they were still in their underwear, and forced them to watch their father get taken away.
After someone was finally willing to read Gallagher the charges, he learned he was being charged with a number of war crimes, including killing an ISIS fighter and posing for a picture next to the corpse. Instead of saving the gravely wounded ISIS terrorist's life, prosecutors allege that Gallagher killed him and then posed for pictures next to his body.
This is the kind of charge that should be easy to prove. If a photo exists of Gallagher next to a corpse, especially one where he brags about killing the wounded soldier (as the prosecution claims), then it's an open and shut case.
But a Navy Judge just dropped the photograph charge. Gallagher is no longer being charged with posing next to the dead ISIS fighter. There was no crime committed there and the Navy couldn't present any evidence that it even happened.
The foundation of the Navy's case against this hero -- supposed photographic evidence -- was just tossed. That should be the end of this, right? Wrong. Overzealous prosecutors are still going after Edward Gallagher for other charges, including murdering an ISIS terrorist on the battlefield as well as newer accusations that he killed two "non-combatants" while deployed overseas.
There is no evidence that any of this happened and Gallagher and his unit vehemently deny the charges. Prosecutors have been able to do all of this based on anonymous accusations. They can't prove any of this, so they resorted to harassing and threatening his teammates to get them to bear false witness against their Chief.
But all is not lost. Members of Congress are starting to learn about this hero's plight and joining the fight to get him released.
Congressmen Crenshaw and Hunter are leading the charge, but they need your help!
As I said, Edward Crenshaw received not one, but TWO Bronze Stars for Valor. On one instance, Gallagher cleared an entire Middle Eastern bazaar (market) and secured a rooftop where he engaged the enemy and saved friendly troops that had been pinned down. Because most of his missions remain classified, we will never know the true extent of his heroism.
But today, he's been thrown in the brig and isn't even allowed to hug his kids because it might arouse the convicted pedophiles he's locked away with... He has been denied food and access to his lawyers. He has been put into solitary confinement. All because he allegedly killed an ISIS fighter in a war zone (aka, he's being accused of doing his job).
We can free this man. YOU can help free this man. But we need to push for it right now!
I know that we can never repay the debt owed to this man for his service... but I am going to try anyway.
We ask heroes like Edward Gallagher to sacrifice everything for this country. He fought for you and your way of life. In his time of need, please fight for him.
