When the House of Representatives voted to formally authorize their impeachment 'inquiry,' they promised that Republicans would be able to call witnesses during the public hearing. But there was a catch: Rep. Adam Schiff (R-CA) had to approve all of the GOP's witness requests.
Over the weekend, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) sent a list of people the GOP wants to hear from. The list included Adam Schiff himself and the so-called whistleblower -- suspected to be CIA employee Eric Ciaramella. Those were expected.
But the rest of the witness list was surprising. Of course, Republicans want to talk to Hunter Biden. But they also want a man named Devon Archer to testify. Archer also served on the board of the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma. He is the man on the left of the picture above, shown golfing with both Joe and Hunter Biden.
The GOP also requested to hear from Nellie Ohr, the woman who worked for Fusion GPS and laundered Ukrainian intel to create the so-called "dossier." The list also requested that a former DNC official named Alexandra Chalupa testify as well. She directly worked with the Ukrainian government to dig up dirt on then-candidate Donald Trump.
What did Adam Schiff do? He rejected all of these witnesses. He will not allow them to testify at all.
This whole impeachment investigation is a sham and the GOP is just going to let it continue on...
Donald Trump openly admits that aid was slow-walked because of concerns over corruption within the Ukrainian government. That corruption not only involved the Democratic National Committee, but potentially even the former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden.
Biden confessed on video that he weaponized foreign aid to pressure the Ukrainians. While visiting Ukraine on a diplomatic mission, he threatened to withhold 1 billion in foreign aid unless Ukraine fired their top prosecutor, a man named Viktor Shokin. Shokin was investigating Burisma Holdings, where Hunter Biden sat on the Board of Directors. We now know that Burisma actually used Biden's name to pressure the State Department to intervene and stop Shokin from investigating the company. The company's lobbyists asked the Obama administration to help them since Joe Biden's son sat on the board...
And that is exactly what Joe Biden did. He weaponized US foreign aid to force Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating his son's company. Democrats, of course, claim that Joe Biden did nothing wrong and that the issue is settled. They claim that the pressure had nothing to do with his son's legal exposure...
Federal government officials have an obligation, under the law, to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Even if Joe Biden is ultimately vindicated, his actions simply do not pass the smell test. The Vice President used American foreign aid to pressure a foreign government to do something that, whether intentionally or unintentionally, directly benefitted his son.
And that is all Donald Trump wanted to have investigated. On the phone call with the Ukrainian President, Trump asked for help getting to the bottom of this because what Biden did "sounds horrible to me." The President of the United States has every right to probe whether the previous administration broke the law. Democrats, however, are accusing Trump of abusing his power to 'dig up dirt' on a political opponent and gain a political advantage.
That is why Democrats are blocking the GOP's witnesses from testifying. If there was even a hint of impropriety in Joe Biden's actions, Trump would have been completely justified to ask the Ukrainians to look into it. Democrats are refusing to let Republicans prove that.
Adam Schiff is literally burying the truth, that Trump was absolutely justified to look into Biden's actions.
The whole thing is a sham. Democrats are hell-bent on removing Donald Trump from office, no matter what it takes. They have no desire to get to the truth.
It is time to take a stand. It is time to fight back against this Democrat-led coup!
Lindsey Graham, the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, was asked whether he would call the witnesses to testify if Democrats blocked them from appearing in the House. Graham's answer will shock you.
When Trump called on Republicans in both the House and Senate to force the Bidens to testify and answer for their actions, Lindsey Graham shot back that "we'll make that decision, not the President."
Graham was then asked whether he would call the Bidens and other Obama and DNC officials to testify if the House blocks them, and Graham responded 'no.'
"I don't have jurisdiction... I'm not a committee that I can call anybody about anything..."
That is a lie. The Judiciary Committee has the power to probe lawlessness within the government. It is also the committee that has jurisdiction over impeachment issues. Lindsey Graham can absolutely call all of these witnesses to testify. He is hiding behind the rules and saying that only Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID), the Senate Foreign Relations Chairman, can call them to testify.
And, you guessed it, Risch is also saying, 'no.'
"I believe it would be more appropriate to wait on examining these matters until after the House completes its process (one way or another)," Risch declared. "It is important for the Senate to reserve judgement on these matters until the House formally completes its work on this inquiry."
The GOP is flat-out refusing to fight back against this impeachment sham!
The hearings start TOMORROW. Both the House and the Senate are refusing to allow these witnesses to testify. Only the Left's anti-Trump witnesses will be allowed in.
This is getting out of control! You must fight back before these cowards get away with this!
