Last week, Donald Trump did something we have been encouraging him to do for years. He cut the United Nations's funding. Specifically, he pulled the plug on between 400 and 500 million which had been earmarked for the UN's World Health Organization.
The WHO has come under a lot of fire recently for putting China's wants ahead of the world's needs. The World Health Organization has perpetuated Chinese communist talking points for months, even at one point claiming that Covid-19 cannot be spread person-to-person (even though we knew then that it could). Instead of working on behalf of the human race, for far too long the WHO has been prioritizing China. They continue to refuse to acknowledge that Taiwan even exists.
Trump did the right thing. He put America first. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, however, have spent the past week promising to undo what Trump has done. They have promised the United Nations that the funding will be restored.
So, Trump doubled down. Yesterday, the White House announced that the funding has officially been redirected. Trump has given the United Nations' funding to other health organizations that will work with the United States, instead of helping China cover up the outbreak... And Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also announced yesterday that the cuts will likely become permanent.
Leftists are terrified. They thought they had time to undo Trump's executive order. But now that the funds have been redirected and the State Department is moving to make the cuts permanent, the Far Left is scrambling to restore funding to the United Nations and World Health Organization.
You CANNOT let them do that!
Throughout his Presidency, Barack Obama turned to the United Nations to implement the policies that he couldn't get through Congress. We have covered this before, but he used the UN to bypass Congress on issues like environmental regulations, immigration, and even gun control.
But when Trump took office, he promised to put an end to that. President Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Treaty and cut off all funding to it. He signed his travel ban and withdrew from the United Nations' migration pact, putting a stop to the UN's efforts to send illegal aliens and unvetted refugees to the United States. And the President also withdrew from the UN Small Arms Trade Treaty, eliminating the United Nations' ability to implement any gun control policies on US soil.
Trump's America First initiative has been one of the greatest successes of his Presidency.
But now, Democrats say they are ready to fight back. As you know, Pelosi and Schumer are preparing what they are calling Covid IV, a stimulus package that will likely dwarf the 2.2 Trillion bill that passed earlier this month. Leftists are already dumping everything they can into the package. They want to use it push through radical agenda items like amnesty and bailout funds to illegal aliens, their Green New Deal, a bailout for abortion providers, and provisions to mandate nationwide mail-in voting.
We are fighting against each and every one of those proposals and we are confident we can stop them (just like we pressured the GOP to hold the line on these issues during this week's stimulus vote).
However, I am getting very worried about Pelosi and Schumer's push to restore the UN and WHO's funding. First of all, they already succeeded in getting UN funding passed. As we covered earlier this month, the Far Left successfully forced the GOP to agree to over 760 million in funding for foreign aid projects. That included well over a hundred million for the WHO and other UN organizations.
The Left was able to force these amendments into the third stimulus bill because the GOP also supported them!
Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) is one of the Leftists leading the charge on this. She is pushing to not only restore the WHO's funding, but also to expand it!
While this is a Democrat bill, it is important to remember that we aren't just fighting against the Democrats on this. The GOP establishment also wants to send your hard-earned taxd ollars to the anti-American United Nations and World Health Organization.
But we can stop this from passing if we fight back right now!
Our message today is clear. Any Congressman or Senator, Republican or Democrat, who votes to restore funding to the United Nations or World Health Organization must be removed from office.
These people swore an oath to represent the American people. Sending funding to the United Nations right now, after what they and the World Health Organization have been caught doing, would clearly violate that oath.
The only way to stop this funding from passing is to strike fear into these elected officials, and we need YOUR help to do it!
Our goal today is to send at least a quarter million FaxBlasts to Congress THREATENING to remove anyone who dares support Pelosi and Schumer's plan to increase funding to the United Nations and World Health Organization.
