Our Declaration of Independence is the document our Founders created when they decided to throw off the chains of England and become a free country. If you read what it says, you will find that we are in a similar situation now, only our monarchy is not overseas in England, it sits at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, in the Oval Office, making a mockery of our country and our Constitution on a daily basis.
We the people can no longer allow this to occur. Obama must be impeached for his crimes against America.
Talk of impeachment has been going on since Obama’s first term, after we witnessed his many transgressions against our country. American citizens banded together and formed petitions calling on Congress to review his actions. Now, Members of Congress are taking notice of his illegal behavior and threatening to bring articles of impeachment against him.
The two main concerns are his threats against the Second Amendment, which prompted Rep. Steve Stockman to warn, “The right of the people to keep and bear arms is what has kept this nation free and secure for over 200 years. The very purpose of the Second Amendment is to stop the government from disallowing people the means to defend themselves against tyranny. Any proposal to abuse executive power and infringe upon gun rights must be repelled with the stiffest legislative force possible.”
Rep. Trey Radel joined Stockman when he said, “It is one of those times in our history, and we are at this breaking point. “We have completely lost our checks and balances in this country, the Congress needs to hold the president accountable for the decisions that he’s making right now, and that’s why again, I would say that all options should be on the table.”

And the next most pressing concern is Obama’s refusal to obey the War Powers Act. Obama authorized the use of military force in Libya without Congressional approval. Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution reserves for Congress alone the power to declare war. After criticism Obama said, “I don’t even have to get to the Constitutional question.” And then he claimed the United Nations (U.N.) Security Council authorized his declaration.
Now, there is concern he will send troops into Syria without Congressional approval. Rep. Walter Jones, a Republican, has introduced H.Con. Res. 107, which addresses Obama’s illegal actions.
Three other Republicans and two Democrats, including Charles Rangel, have expressed support for Jones’ resolution. Eventually, even Members of Congress are going to get tired of Obama ruling as a dictator.
Obama has done many things during his time in office that are clearly impeachable offenses.
Obama has willfully ignored our laws. He ordered his Justice Department to no longer enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, and has consistently refused to allow States to enforce immigration law. He ignored the WARN Act just before the election. He refused to prosecute New Black Panther Party members who disenfranchised voters in Pennsylvania. He will not allow illegal immigrants married to homosexuals to be deported. And he oversaw the huge Fast and Furious Operation and subsequent cover-up, an illegal operation meant to gain support for gun control that led to the deaths of several Americans.
Obama appointed three officials to the National Labor Relations Board in January without Senate approval—even though the Senate was in pro forma session. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution gives the President authority to appoint senior federal officials if the Senate is in recess. In this case, they were not.
He has violated Habeas Corpus by signing into law the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the government to detain United States citizens without a trial.
Whether Obama’s actions relating to the tragedy in Benghazi, Libya, could be considered impeachable or just shameful is a matter of debate. What we do know is that our Libyan Ambassador, J. Christopher Stevens, and three other Americans are dead because “Commander in Chief” Obama did absolutely nothing to help them when they came under attack. Then, he lied about what happened to cover up his misdeed and tamp down the controversy before the election.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that their Creator with certain unalienable Rights endows them that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. —
On Sunday, January 20th, Barack Hussein Obama will take the presidential oath of office for the second time “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
And for another four years, America will be burdened with a President who refuses to uphold the law of the land—unless we stand together as American citizens and demand a lawful leader.
