OBAMA: TRAYVON WILL HELP TO DISARM THE U.S.!
Dear Anti-Gun Control Patriots,
In spite of the JURY VERDICT of George Zimmerman, President Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and other ANTI-gun advocates have called for changing Florida’s PRO-SECOND AMENDMENT laws! That’s why your fax to Congress is critical!
Polls indicate that Americans approve of “Stand Your Ground” laws, so the chances of overturning the statute are very slim, in spite of continued demonstrations by Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. However, the ANTI-GUN groups are making significant progress in getting behind Gun Control legislation!
Even President Obama’s fundraising friend, Oprah Winfrey, got into the act. She says there is a “clear parallel” between the murders of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin and 14-year-old Emmett Till in 1955. According to the television icon: “In my mind, it’s the same thing!”
Let’s make the picture perfectly clear:
1. In spite of all the racial hoopla, George Zimmerman was found NOT GUILTY of murder and manslaughter charges by a JURY. In fact, at least two members of the jury have publicly stated there was simply not enough evidence to convict Zimmerman. Neighborhood Block Watch Captain Zimmerman claimed self-defense and has many scars to prove it.
2. Emmett Till was gruesomely murdered by a group of white men in 1955 after he was spotted apparently flirting with a white woman. Historically, reports say that they viciously beat him and gouged out one of his eyes before shooting him in the head and dumping his body in the Tallahatchie River in Mississippi.
Oprah claims “it’s the same thing.” Unbelievable.
President Obama is using race to leverage Trayvon Martin in his quest to DISARM the public and abolish the right to self-defense. In a stunning and nationally divisive moment in presidential history, color was chosen over character. President Obama said: “…if a white male teen was involved in the same kind of scenario, that, from top to bottom, both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different.”
President Barack Obama intends to exploit a family’s grief and racial overtones to push his ANTI-GUN agenda!
In light of the Florida jury decision, along with the Obama encouragement, Florida activist doctors are pushing the anti-gun agenda to disarm families!
The Firearm Owners Privacy Act, which Florida Gov. Rick Scott signed into law in June 2011, says that doctors should not ask families about whether they own guns. But if they choose to do so, and a patient feels the doctor has harassed or discriminated against them, he can file a complaint with the medical board so that the doctor's peers can decide if the accusation is legitimate.
The Brady Campaign is leading the plaintiffs - including the Florida chapters of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians - in the lawsuit, which claims the law violates doctors' First Amendments rights to speak freely with their patients. U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke agreed with the freedom of speech claim and granted an injunction and then overturned the law in 2012.
The doctors groups' justification that they are just providing medical care to parents does not hold water, as the lead plaintiffs in the case are rabidly anti-gun. The American Academy of Pediatrics gives this "advice to parents" on its website: "Do not purchase a gun, especially a handgun. Remove all guns present in the home." It also instructed those who refuse to obey that they should "always keep the gun unloaded and locked up. Lock and store the bullets in a separate place."
The National Rifle Association (NRA) helped push the law through the Florida Legislature in 2011. "A doctor's job is to treat sick children and tell parents how to take care of sick children. They are not home monitors," Marion Hammer, the NRA's former president and currently the head of its Florida operation said: "Their position that they have to counsel people on how to store firearms or to get rid of firearms because they are not safe is patently absurd."
A key concern of the state and pro-gun groups is whether the doctors' records would be shared with insurance companies and the federal government.
The Florida law should be a model for the nation on keeping doctors in check when it comes to the privacy of parents to safely and responsibly keep arms in their homes. The appeals court ought to overturn the lower court's decision and give the Sunshine State the ability to shine the light on what is going on in the secrecy of doctors' offices.
Obviously, the most ANTI-gun president that this nation has ever had, President Obama fully intends to use the Zimmerman-Martin verdict to PUSH his anti-gun agenda! Actually, this racial overtone started with the president when he said: “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon!”
In reality, President Obama is saying: “Do not defend yourself, like our founding fathers wrote in the Constitution, when you are threatened, just run away and let the government handle your situation!”
The president seeks to divide us along the lines of race for political gain. Leaders must UNITE people, not divide them. Yes, we have a “character” issue in this country! Whether it is Trayvon or Zimmerman, or the elected or the electors, we must assess one another through the lens of character, NOT color. When leaders, especially the president, seek to divide over color, it is a clear demonstration of ABSENCE of character!
With urging from the Department of Justice, unfortunately, the Trayvon Martin family will probably soon go forward with a civil suit. WOW! Now, all the evidence that was “hush-hush” during the original trial would be available to the court, such as Trayvon Martin’s previous record, such as stealing, drugs, and talking about killing. The White House continues to want to make gun violence the “BATTLE CRY” to literally DIVIDE Americans and take away our Constitutional rights. Rather than addressing the real issues, President Obama uses gun control and racial division every opportunity he gets. That is dishonest!

This White House and this Department of Justice used YOUR tax money to promote demonstrations and rallies, even involving the radical Black Panther Party, supporting Zimmerman’s prosecution in a community relations effort called “Peacemaker.” Documents detail “extraordinary intervention by the Justice Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George Zimmerman.”
The President aims to disarm the public from guns that are guaranteed by the United States Constitution. He wants to eliminate self-defense!
More Gun Control would not have prevented the Aurora, Sandy Hook, or even the Trayvon tragedies. More gun control is what the President wants, even after the Zimmerman verdict. Gun deaths are the result of character issues. A gun does not have emotion, motive or character. A gun is a mere instrument of someone’s character. Judging by the track record of the President, his character is in question.
He wants to confiscate guns, but he does very little to control the contributing cause of violence of black-on-black, especially in the murder capital of his own backyard of Chicago! But if a non-black is involved in a violent altercation with a black, it’s suddenly a national incident and a national crisis, which brings about even more violence in the streets of the cities. THESE ARE THE FACTS!!
Gun control is NOT the answer. The Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution allows every citizen to defend themselves with a gun. Remind Congress of that!
Please fax Congress and let them know they must preserve our Second Amendment!
What about the TENS OF THOUSANDS of Block Watch Volunteers who may now be RELUCTANT in their duty?! Their timidity might result in the death of thousands!
Please let your Congress know of your passion against Gun Control!
