Congress has become nothing but a pawn for Obama’s radical agenda.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is the yearly bill that deals with funding for the Defense Department. Every year, Congressmen and Senators attach pet projects and pork barrel spending to the legislation in the form of amendments.
Since the legislation is essential to keeping our military funded and running, these provisions usually make it through. A few ridiculous spending programs, however heinous, aren’t enough to risk defunding the military.
The best chance we have of making sure these horrible amendments are removed is during the committee process. Committees have the power to strip pork from spending bills before they reach the floor for a final vote.
There’s just one problem: John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have stocked the most influential committees with RINOs.
This year’s NDAA bill has a provision in it that institutionalizes Barack Obama’s executive amnesty programs!
If left unaltered, this legislation would compel the United States military to hire and enlist illegal aliens over American citizens!
This is coming at a time when the military is supposed to be downsizing. American enlistedmen and officers are being refused re-enlistment in large numbers.
Why? So they can be replaced by illegal aliens!
The language within the NDAA allows and encourages the Department of Defense to hire recipients of Barack Obama’s 2012 executive amnesty (known as DACA).
By cementing this into the National Defense Authorization Act, the GOP is surrendering to Barack H. Obama’s amnesty agenda and legitimizing it.
All of these clowns campaigned and promised to put a stop to Obama’s amnesty. But they won’t. They’re counting on the fact that you won’t read through 952 pages of obscure budgetary legalize.
Well, we did it so you don’t have to. The provision is listed on page 177:
“It is the sense of the House of Representatives that the Secretary of Defense should review section 504 of title 10, United States Code, for the purpose of making a determination and authorization pursuant to subsection (b)(2) of such section regarding the enlistment in the Armed Forces of an alien who possesses an employment authorization document issued under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program of the Department of Homeland Security established pursuant to the memorandum of the Secretary of Homeland Security dated June 15, 2012.”
Here’s a loose translation:
Congress wants the Department of Defense to reinterpret the law that forbids them from employing illegal aliens because Obama changed the law and gave illegals amnesty. They are giving them permission to hire illegal aliens.
That might be the sense of the Congress, but it is NOT the sense of the American people!
Just so you know how much pork is in this bill, the illegal alien provision is right next to a provision outlining how and where female DoD employees are allowed to breastfeed on the job...
The House Rules Committee meets TODAY to debate amendments to the bill. There are a good number of amendments on the schedule, but one is incredibly important.
Representative Mo Brooks (R-AL) has written an amendment to remove this terrible amnesty language from the bill entirely!
But he needs your help! The House Rules Committee is run by Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), a Boehner ally who gives the GOP establishment whatever they want.
That’s why it is so important that we get as many citizens to raise their voice over this as possible. The only thing that can overcome this blind ideological loyalty is sheer numbers.
Yesterday, the committee worked into the early evening. The same will likely happen again today. You MUST raise your voice and fax blast Congress to put a stop to this betrayal before it is too late!
This isn't a drill. The House Rules Committee is meeting right now.
Force Congress to add Rep. Brooks’ amendment to the NDAA! No surrender to Obama’s amnesty!
