On December 23nd – just a day before Christmas Eve and the first night of Hanukkah – Barack Obama did something truly dastardly: he helped coordinate a UN attack on Israel.
You see, the United States has what is known as a “permanent veto” on the Security Council. We have the power to kill any resolution or measure that we disagree with or that targets an ally of ours. We have routinely used this veto when the international body tries to target one of our allies, like Israel.
Not only did Obama personally instruct our Ambassador to the UN to stand down and withhold our veto, but now there is word that President Obama will use the United Nations to impose even more sanctions on Israel before he leaves office!
Barack Obama has spent the past eight years dousing the Middle East in kerosene. This past Friday, he decided to toss a match on his way out the door.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu put it best: “Friends don’t take friends to the [UN] Security Council.”
Obama has just 24 days left in office. But he has shown that he is willing to do anything to try to cement his leftist agenda, even using the UN to go after Israel.
Netanyahu is frantically reaching out to Trump because Israeli intelligence suggests that the Obama administration will use these final three weeks in office to impose a permanent settlement for Palestinian statehood.
Obama has used the UN to try to cement his gun control agenda through the UN Arms Trade Treaty, he has unconstitutionally signed onto an amended Nuclear Weapons Treaty without Congressional approval, and the President has given away more than half a billion dollars already to fund the UN’s climate change agenda as well.
It is time to pull the plug on this. If Obama is intent on using the United Nations as a weapon against the American people and our allies, then he must be disarmed.
Ted Cruz is leading the charge to defund the United Nations and this is long overdue. After speaking with the Israeli PM, Ted Cruz took to Twitter and announced his intention to withhold any and all funding from the UN until this anti-Israel effort is reversed.
Even RINO Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is onboard. He drafted the bill that would begin defunding the United Nations and even suggested that there would even be enough support to override Obama’s veto in these final days of his Presidency.
This is what we’ve been waiting for!
You need to rise up and force Congress to defund the UN right now.
Whether or not you agree with Obama’s actions against Israel or not, this is ultimately an issue we can all get behind.
For far too long, the United States has given away American tax dollars to an international body that does not represent our interests or us. This is our chance to put an end to this cycle. This is our chance to pull the plug on the United Nations!
Congress is rushing to pass defunding legislation before Trump’s inauguration in order to prevent Obama from taking any more actions. This will not happen on its own.
It takes brave Patriots like you to raise your voice and force Congress to prioritize this!
