What’s the point of having an official Guantanamo review if the President just keeps releasing the worst of the worst?

For the fourth time this month, Barack Obama has sent a terrorist home. This time, it is Muhammed Abd Al Rahman Awn Al-Shamrani who is being sent home to his native Saudi Arabia.

Here’s what the Pentagon determined after examining Al-Shamrani’s case:

“If released without rehabilitation, close supervision, and means to successfully reintegrate into his society as a law-abiding citizen, it is assessed detainee would immediately seek out prior associates and reengage in hostilities and extremist support activities at home and abroad.”

He literally has told Guantanamo staff that if he was ever released, he would go right back to killing Americans.

We’re down to the worst of the worst. Everyone left in Guantanamo has been deemed a “high risk,” yet Obama is so politically correct that he is sending them home anyway!

We’re not talking about sending them to a maximum security prison. In many cases, these terrorists are put under house arrest or probation. It is no surprise then that 30% of all those released from Guantanamo end up returning to the battlefield.

This has to stop. Congress has passed multiple laws and amendments to stop what the President is doing and yet he keeps setting them free. It is time for Congress to do more.

It is time for Congress to shut this down once and for all and STOP Obama from releasing these hardened terrorists!
