Fellow Conservative,
Today is the day. Today, the Senate is taking up the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This is our best chance to make inroads in protecting the unborn.
Science has proven that at 20 weeks, unborn children have reached a stage of development where they start feeling pain. At 21 weeks, premature babies have successfully survived outside the womb and into adulthood.
So if these children can feel pain, why do we let abortion providers dismember them in the womb? That's what we're talking about here. Abortionists kill the baby by ripping it apart limb from limb. It's disgusting.
If a surgeon was to operate on a 20-week old baby in-utero, he or she would have to administer anesthesia. The Hippocratic Oath - 'do no harm' - requires anesthesia for the surgery to be ethical.
So why are we letting thousands of babies suffer this horrible fate?
99% of abortions would be unaffected by this bill. But what this legislation would accomplish is save the 27 babies a day who can feel pain, and are viable, from being brutally dismembered. That is worth fighting for!
No more late term abortions! Demand that Congress pass the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act!
The vote is happening today. The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act already passed the house. Now it is up to Mitch McConnell and the Senate.
Liberals don't believe that a 23 week old baby is a human being. They still refer to it exclusively as a fetus. But upwards of 40% of 23-week-old babies are able to survive outside of the womb. Don't they deserve that chance?
Right now, they have absolutely no protection under the law. They can feel pain and have the ability to survive outside of the womb, but the law still allows them to be murdered for literally any reason.
It's shameful.
Even though this is completely common sense, you can rest assured that Democrats will vote against it. House Democrats just voted against a bill that would force doctors to provide medical care to babies born alive in botched abortions. Isn't that sickening?
You have an opportunity to stop all of this. You have an opportunity to protect 27+ babies a day from being murdered and denied a chance to live. That is more than one every hour.
All this can end. But I need your help. I need you to rise up and FaxBlast every Congressman and Senator demanding that they put this bill on the President's desk. This may only be a first step, but it is an absolutely necessary step to take! The unborn must be protected.
We even wouldn't have today's vote without your help. Since this bill was originally introduced, we have sent hundreds of thousands of faxes urging Congress to pass the legislation into law. Every time a push was necessary, you answered the call. Now, the finish line is in sight.
Sincerely,
Max McGuire
