The Left has been exposed for developing a “playbook” on what to say to manipulate emotions of all Americans when it comes to gun control! The anti-gun MANUAL developed and used by the Left shows how desperate the fight is to save our Second Amendment rights!
The manual is already out; and has been used by the President, on down. The publishers have their rights, so we cannot fax against them. But we can sure triple our efforts to COMBAT THIS LIE to every Member of the United States Congress!
Tell Congress to vote AGAINST every gun control measure in Congress!
We remember when President Obama’s White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel made the tell-all comment: “You never want a serious crisis go to waste.”
Taking cues from that outrageous statement, that is precisely what this 80-page manual does. It plays upon the fears of emotions of gun violence; and tells people, including the Obama administration, the Left, and the media exactly how to state the emotional situation so that patriotic Americans will FEAR weapons and possibly think twice about our freedom of owning a gun.
But not you. Not me!
“Preventing Gun Violence through Effective Messaging” is the blasphemous title of this manual. Not only does it advocate using horrifying shooting scenes to make their position, it is a step-by-step guide on how to bolster passion for victims, debase groups like the National Rifle Association, and keep the gun control dialogue moving along based totally on emotional fear, regardless of the facts, of course!
As reported by the Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner, the manual was prepared by four strategists including Al Quinlan of Washington, D.C.-based Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, who are committed to “progressive goals.” Among their leftist clients are: Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union and Mayors Against Illegal Guns, as well as other left-leaning, anti-gun organizations.
It is a manual of specific “talking points” that have already been used by President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, and others in the Administration.
James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal says: “Essentially it’s a how-to book on inciting a moral panic.”
It is based upon TOTAL MANIPULATION of the mind of all Americans.
Pro gun-control activists are told how to grab hold onto the emotions; from the manual itself: “Always start with the pain and anguish that gun violence brings into people’s lives. Use statistics to support an emotional argument, not to replace it.”
The manual goes into specific details on how to be victorious in an argument with those who are pro-gun:
“1. Always focus on emotional and value-driven arguments about gun violence
2. Tell stories with images and feelings
3. Claim moral authority
4. Emphasize that extraordinarily dangerous, military-style weapons are now within easy reach across America.”
Quite frankly, this manual is really sickening; just to know that the Left has a “manual” on how to manipulate, control and unjustly influence every American. Of course their bottom line is to turn patriotic Americans away from the freedoms that are guaranteed via the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.
I guarantee this: Our founding fathers would not stand for this propaganda! However, since the media has used this manual to brainwash many Americans already, I do not know if Congress has the will or “stomach” to make us aware in a public outcry against such an untruthful “manual” that the Left is currently using.
Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner writes: “Clearly the president and other Democratic leaders followed the talking points. The talking points, for example, suggest phrases politicians should use [when] speaking about mass shootings, and at least three were adopted by the president in just one speech last March on gun violence.
“In fact, the woman introducing Obama for that speech, Katerina Rodgaard, followed the guide’s advice perfectly, beginning with the first key argument, the ‘personal toll’ of gun violence.
“‘I have been personally affected by gun violence. As the mother of a first-grader, I cannot even look at my own daughter without thinking about the poor, innocent victims at Sandy Hook. My heart breaks for them and their families and the families of the eight children every day who are killed by guns in this country.
“She then followed in order with the second key argument, the ‘right’ to be free from violence: ‘I feel that my rights to feel safe in this country and the rights of our children to feel safe in this country are paramount and worth fighting for.’”
Absolutely outrageous. Absolutely sickening.

Part of the manual reads: “The debate over gun violence in America is periodically punctuated by high-profile gun violence incidents including Columbine, Virginia Tech, Tucson, the Trayvon Martin killing, Aurora, and Oak Creek. When an incident such as these attracts sustained media attention, it creates a unique climate for our communications efforts. A high-profile gun violence incident temporarily draws more people into the conversation about gun violence. We should rely on emotionally powerful language, feelings and images to bring home the terrible impact of gun violence.”
The manual hones in on stirring up emotions, not relying on facts or engaging in substantive debate. In fact, the manual urges the American reader to debate on the emotional, instead of any pertinent facts.
For the most part, the 80-page manual avoids true facts, and has many outright lies in it, in the gun research arena, and therefore, those lies are continued by anti-gun advocates.
Jeff Know, director of the Firearms Coalition, responded: “That gun-control playbook is full of lies, with the biggest one being in the opening statement that they have the facts and logic on their side, but that we use emotion and money to advance our cause.
“The opposite is true and demonstrated by the suggestions in the book. They depend on emotion and fear, because reality does not support their position. Gun control doesn’t work. It never has. If it did, there would be ample evidence, but the only evidence they have is so weak and suspect, even anti-gun panels for the Centers for Disease Control and the Science Foundation couldn’t find any strong evidence of gun-control efficacy.”
Even though this manual was published months ago, just before Sandy Hook, it has gone relatively unnoticed (rather, “un-newsworthy”) by the mainstream media! What’s new? But the devil is in the details. The specifics of how to manipulate the emotions of Americans for gun control is sweeping! It espouses emphasizing emotional hot-buttons over rational discourse and informative debate.
Sources say: “The manual was produced, it appears, for the Seattle-based Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility (WAGR) before the Sandy Hook tragedy, but its advice tracks in every way with the approach employed by Democrats, including President Obama, during the disgraceful rush to exploit public horror over the shooting in an effort to pass strong anti-gun measures in the states and nationally.”

This manual has DECEPTION throughout. I can totally understand why the mainstream media ignored publicizing this manual as they will probably continue to use the unprincipled and manipulating “talking points” in their reports!
This manual is not only “newsworthy” but it is unscrupulously wrong!
Contrary to what this manual erroneously states, crime goes DOWN when gun ownership is UP!
There are many different areas of gun control that we fight, but this manual goes to the very core of the emotional agenda. It is a strategy completely embraced by the White House and our anti-gun President Obama and anti-gun Attorney General Eric Holder.
The good news: Teachers in Arkansas are being armed and Virginia gun crime plummets as firearm sales go through the roof, and much more.
The bad news: Obamacare dictates that doctors “spy” and collect information about guns from their patients and President Obama has threatened to sign the UN Small Arms Treaty while Congress is gone on vacation, etc. Then there is the manual!!
