Is Barack Obama a tyrant? Obviously, that’s a delicate question to ask in today’s political climate, and chances are if you ask it, you can expect to receive some serious flak from the mainstream media. But it is interesting in itself that we have reached the point, as a country, where asking this type of question is so frowned upon. We cannot let this be a taboo subject!  Benjamin Franklin warned us that “it is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.” We must constantly ask ourselves whether the president, or any politician for that matter, is acting within the confines of the Constitution.

I know you understand that the constitution is not a blank check for the government to do what it wants, when it wants. The constitution deliberately explains what each branch of government is allowed to do, and what is expressly prohibited. Lately however, our Constitutional Law Professor-turned-President has taken it upon himself to engage in some rather unconstitutional activities that can only be labeled as tyrannical!

Since its roll-out on October 1, it has become plainly obvious that Obamacare is a disaster. As the Affordable Care Act is revealed to be the true failure that it is, the President has taken it upon himself to pick and choose which parts of the law will be enforced, and which will be ignored or delayed. He single-handedly moved the small business deadline until after the 2014 midterm elections, and now the Democrats wants to do the same for the individual mandate. The Democrats think that if they can just hold out a few more months, they’ll be able to trick the American people into voting for them again!

Gun control stalled in the Senate earlier this year, but the President continues to stretch the limits of his authority in order to introduce more burdensome regulations to further infringe on our constitutional rights. And when it comes to immigration, not only has the President unlawfully granted amnesty to illegal immigrant youths, but now his supporters are urging him to unilaterally grant amnesty to all 11 million illegal aliens in the country!

Tell Congress to STOP President Obama from ruling by executive fiat!

In a recent Congressional committee meeting focusing on presidential powers, one expert testified that if President Obama continues to ignore the law and act by executive fiat, there will likely be serious ramifications. If the President breaks the law without consequence, the American people might start doing the same. This is the same dictatorial governance that led so many brave patriots to take up arms in 1776.

Obama is a prime example of tyranny in action: an executive governing outside of the law, contrary to the will of the people. A tyrant is someone who believes that he alone should decide the direction of the country. A tyrant is someone who is so devoted to building monuments for himself that he deliberately stands by as his namesake socialized healthcare bankrupts and destroys the country.

Of course the president’s approval ratings are at record lows. On every single policy issue that Obama has ruled by executive fiat, a majority of Americans disagree with him. According to the most recent Pew Research poll, 50% of Americans do not want more gun control; 60% disapprove of the President’s immigration policy; 65% of people disagree with how Obama is handling the economy; and 59% want to repeal Obamacare. On his recent speaking tour around the country, President Obama promised his supporters that as long as he is President, the Affordable Care Act will never ever be repealed. The President said this knowing that six out of every ten Americans want the law overturned. He isn’t working on behalf of the American people… Barack Obama is working on behalf of his dwindling supporters!

The United States needs a president who will work on behalf of the American people, not just on behalf of his socialist supporters.

Tell Congress to STOP Obama from abusing the power of the executive office!

There’s really no other way to view it. The President knows the polling numbers… he’s admitted that. Obama knows that on nearly every issue, his policies represent the minority opinion. Any President who knows he or she is in the minority and governs by executive fiat anyway can only be classified as a tyrant. 

For a President who once campaigned on the principle of bipartisanship, it is sad to see just how far Obama has fallen from the idealism that once launched the starry-eyed former-Senator into the spotlight.

Obama lied to the American people over and over again in order to gain support for the Affordable Care Act, and now that his deception has been revealed, the country no longer trusts their Commander in Chief. The President is lucky: he doesn’t have to run for reelection. But his fellow Democrats in Congress still have to answer for this administration’s betrayals. Any smart politician will realize that President Obama has boxed himself into an inescapable corner, and we are already starting to see Democrats in Congress beginning to jump ship and turn their backs on the president.

We must show the Democrats in the House and Senate that standing by the President is political suicide. We must prove to Congress that the recent opinion polls will bring electoral repercussions!
