Dear Conservative,

I've been sitting on this story for a while, trying to figure out the best way to respond. As you no doubt have heard by now, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush commented last week that the act of illegal immigration wasn't a felony, but rather an "act of love."





I have never heard something so ridiculous and asinine come out of a Republican with aspirations of reaching the White House. I mean, you would be hard pressed to find a better way to alienate Conservative voters.





Now, as stupid as the comment was, I can sort-of understand what he meant. Sure, people come to the United States to provide a better life for their families. In the process, however, they end up breaking a myriad of state and federal laws and take advantage of American taxpayers to the tune of BILLIONS of dollars every year!





The economic impacts aside, illegal immigration is not an “act of love,” as Jeb Bush argues. It is an act of selfishness! Illegal aliens knowingly break the law in order to receive benefits and aid that they have not paid into or earned. It is the ultimate acts of selfishness to enter a country and force its residents to provide you with healthcare and education! However, it is also selfish to bring children into the country illegally. These parents are forcing their children to break the law and enter the country illegally.

No, this isn’t love… this is selfishness, plain and simple!

The sad truth is that in the pursuit of this “better life,” many illegal aliens have chosen the path of crime. Not only has the Obama administration turned a blind eye to these illegal alien criminals, but the administration has actually deliberately released 68,000 illegal alien criminals from jail. And that was just in the past year!

We need to stop treating our illegal alien problem as if it is no big deal! There are tens – if not hundreds – of thousands of illegal aliens who have committed felonies (“acts of love, according to Jeb Bush) living in the United States. And the Democrats and RINOs want to give them amnesty? Not on my watch!

You must STOP the Democrats and RINOs from giving amnesty to illegal alien criminals!

I figured I would take the time to highlight just a handful of the “acts of love” that Jeb Bush and his Democrat allies seem to be talking about…

In February of this year, 27 illegal immigrants and convicted sex offenders were apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol. The majority of those illegal aliens arrested for sex crimes actually committed those crimes against children. These were not your run of the mill criminals. These are hardened gang members who have been caught after they molested children. Yet, these are just the people that the Obama administration lets out of prison on “good behavior.”

Then there’s the case of Samuel Castro-Flores, a Mexican national who was deported in 2011, only to reenter the United States in 2012 to begin his human trafficking operation. This monster convinced foreigners that he could get them into the U.S., but when they arrived, Flores would sell them either to family members or to total strangers. He’s not alone, either. Hector Lopez Zepeta would also traffic foreigners into the United States. When he was finally caught by U.S. officials, he was charged with raping his “cargo” throughout the journey across the border.

The past year (2013) saw a whopping 100% increase in the number of illegal alien sex offenders caught trying to re-enter the United States after they were originally deported. This is only the number of people caught. If the

Obama administration is only deporting around 25% of all illegal aliens that government agents encounter and twice as many sex offenders are trying to re-enter the U.S., we have a serious problem! These animals are just turning right around and coming back into the United States. Chances are, they’ll never be caught and if they are apprehended, they’ll be let go or deported and allowed to re-enter the country.

Our immigration system is broken… it is a revolving door for hardened criminals and sex offenders.

Pay attention, because this is important. The vast majority of illegal alien criminals will never face prosecution because the Obama administration deliberately refuses to pursue them. Of the illegal alien criminals that happen to fall right into law enforcement’s lap, only 25% are actually prosecuted. Of those that are prosecuted, many are either released from prison due to budget cuts or they are deported and allowed to re-enter the country!

Don’t get me wrong… I know that most illegal aliens are not hardened criminals. I am not trying to suggest that everyone who is coming across our border is a murderer or rapist… that’s just not the case.

Many, however, are hardened criminals. These are murderers, rapists, gang members, and sex offenders. These are people who get drunk and get behind the wheel, killing 17-year old children in the process. These people break our immigration laws and commit violent crimes against innocent men, women, and children.

The Democrats want blanket amnesty… they want to just give out citizenship to everyone. In their eyes, what does it matter if a few child molesters and rapists slip through? Giving citizenship to 11+ Million illegal aliens will ensure that the Democrats can rule for the next hundred years! As far as the Left is concerned, the ends justify the means.

And if you want to take a step back and make sure that these violent criminals aren’t given citizenship, well, then the Democrats label you a racist.

Whether it is gun control, healthcare, or now illegal immigration, the Democrats and RINOs have proven that logic must take a backseat to their emotional appeals. They want blanket amnesty without border enforcement, meaning that these hardened criminals will remain in the country and that more will undoubtedly join them.

This is unacceptable!

Illegal immigration isn’t an “act of love…” Illegal immigration is a CRIME and it is time the Democrats and RINOs started treating it as such!

You must STOP the Democrats and RINOs from giving amnesty to illegal alien criminals!
