The resolution to reinstate Sgt. First Class Charles Martland into the Army has been published.
House Resolution 451(its official designation) is quite literally the most common sense piece of legislation ever written.
Here are the resolution’s goals. The resolution declares that it is the sense of the House of Representatives that…
“(1) Members of the United States Armed Forces should not be punished for standing up to child rapists;
(2) putting the interests of Afghan rapists ahead of American war heroes is a national disgrace;
(3) the Americans who should be punished are those who created and condone the immoral and reprehensible policy that encourages members of the Armed Forces to ignore child rape; and
(4) the Secretary of Defense should immediately order the reinstatement of Sergeant First Class Charles Martland as a member of the Army.”
Literally the most common sense bill ever and Democrats have promised to fight this resolution tooth and nail!
As you remember, Sgt. Martland is the man who ‘shoved’ and Afghan police officer who confessed to kidnapping and raping a small boy over the course of 10 days. The Pentagon is involuntarily discharging him for – and this is not a joke – “disrespecting local customs.” That’s how backwards this administration is.
Earlier this week, we bombarded Congress with over 100,000 faxes and we couldn’t have done it without your help. We are making Charles Martland a household name and gaining support to have this American hero reinstated.
Unfortunately, the Left is also paying attention and promising to block the resolution from coming to a floor vote.
Yes, they are so interested in shielding Obama from scrutiny that they would actually protect Afghan child rapists. It’s absolutely mind blowing. Honestly, it is despicable that these people want to play politics on this. There is absolutely NO reason for Martland to be involuntarily discharged.
We are running out of time. The Obama administration and Pentagon have set a November 1 deadline to finalize kicking Martland out of the Army. Right now, they are ahead of schedule!
This is a Green Beret who has spent 11 years defending this nation and in the process, was awarded two Bronze Stars. And Obama wants to kick him out of the military for shoving a confessed child rapist. It’s just shameful.
This Congressional bill can change all of that and get Martland reinstated. But every day that passes will make it even harder!
