President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton worked closely with the United Nations to get the Treaty passed. They willingly joined the negotiations, led by Iran and China—not exactly human rights and Constitution-friendly countries!
Now, the treaty will move to the U.S. Senate for ratification.
The ostensible purpose of this treaty is to prevent terrorists and radical regimes from acquiring weapons. But, let’s be real: criminals will never have any problem getting their hands on weapons. Law-abiding citizens like you and me, who wish to own firearms for protection and recreation, will suffer.
Also, within the language of regulating us to death and gun registries is that tiny little question of, just who qualified as a “terrorist” or a “radical regime?” Is someone who disagrees with the government? Is it a member of the military? Is it a conservative?

The UN Small Arms Treaty will:
- Enact tougher licensing requirements, making it almost impossible for you, an individual, to own a firearm
- Require the government to confiscate firearms owned by individuals
- Place further restrictions on the sale of arms
- Create an international gun registry
We are pushing for support of S. 2205 and H.R. 4846, bills that will protect Americans from any U.N. treaty and keep our sovereignty in place. They were drafted in response to the Small Arms Treaty negotiations, as a “safety net” in case the Treaty was passed. And, here we are.
Members of Congress have been relatively quiet on the issue—we are a month away from the election, and they don’t want to anger constituents. But don’t take their silence to mean they are not seriously considering ways in which to limit your Second Amendment rights. Many of them want to push for gun control, but they are going to wait until after November to do it.
But even if Congress passes bills against Second Amendment infringement; and even if the Senate refuses to ratify the U.N. Small Arms Treaty, a radical and rogue ideologue in the White House could easily pass an Executive Order trampling all over our right to bear arms.
At this moment, we have such an ideologue in the Oval Office, and it is very possible he will be re-elected. Look at the ways our country has changed in the last four years. Can you imagine what it will look like if Obama gets another term?
The American people need to contact Congress immediately and let their feelings be known about the U.N. Small Arms Treaty, and we need to encourage them to do everything they can to campaign for conservatives and help elect Mitt Romney next month.

This is a very important, “under the radar” issue that has been brewing for some time. Action is needed to bring the issue to the forefront and get Americans involved. As proud citizens of this great nation, we must fight for our Constitution and remind our leaders to do the same.
Because, while it may seem inconceivable that our “leaders” would allow a world body like the United Nations to decimate our Second Amendment rights, it is definitely not out of the question, especially with Barack Obama in the White House!
After all, he has shown great disdain for both our Constitution AND our Congress, frequently bypassing both to get what he wants. He has had no problem ignoring the law when it comes to allowing voter fraud, ignoring terrorism in Libya and then lying about what happened, or running the Fast and Furious gun running scheme (which, of course, is part of Obama’s plan to dismantle our gun rights).
This President will not honor your Second Amendment rights, and Congress needs to be reminded their job is to protect the U.S. Constitution!
If the Senate ratifies this U.N. Treaty and turns gun control over to the United Nations, it will mean that foreign nations—including our enemies—will have control over your freedoms and your right to own and operate a firearm.
Let’s do all we can to fight this. Opponents of the Second Amendment will not rest, and neither should those of us who value our Constitutional rights.
