Welcome to the final days of Barack Obama’s Presidency, where literally anything can happen.
We weren’t going to cover this because, frankly, it seemed like just a desperate last salvo from a failed, departing President. But in the days since it was announced, there have been uncomfortable rumblings about some GOP Members of Congress caving in…
President Obama just formally delivered the UN Arms Trade Treaty to the United States Senate for ratification and he is demanding that Congress approve it.
As you know, the UN Arms Trade Treaty would implement global firearm import/export restrictions and force member states to create gun owner registries.
This has always been the goal of the modern gun control movement in America. Final gun control – disarmament – cannot happen without a detailed registry of who owns which firearms.
The gun control advocates are now just one Senate vote away from realizing this disarmament dream…
The White House is already trying to spin this. They are calling it “common sense” gun control. They are begging that a handful of Liberal Republicans break with their party and vote to create a nationwide gun registry.
In the Western World, there has never been a gun registry that wasn’t followed by confiscations.
In 1919, England passed sweeping gun control laws requiring full registration of civilian-owned firearms. By 1996, both semi-automatic rifles and handguns were explicitly banned. This ban was only enforceable because gun owners were registered.
In 1930, Australia started requiring handgun owners to register their firearms. By 1996, Australia was able to use this registry to demand that citizens turn over their newly-illegal firearms.
Americans in states like California and New York still receive letters informing them that they are in possession of illegal weapons, even though they were purchased legally.
This is the end game for Obama’s new gun control push.
As you remember, President Obama had John Kerry sign the UN Arms Trade Treaty. He has promised the UN hundreds of millions of dollars to help implement it.
Obama knows that Trump can withdraw the signature, but that he would be powerless to claw-back donated money or to undo a Congressional ratification vote.
As you read this, Democrats are rushing to whip up as many RINO votes as possible. Meanwhile, the Obama White House is trying to figure out how to “donate” millions of dollars to help the UN implement this gun control treaty in the United States and around the world!
We are currently compiling a list of all the gun control measures (laws, regulations, executive orders) that need to be repealed. There will be a significant push come-January to start expanding our 2nd Amendment rights.
But all that is irrelevant if the Democrats are able to scrape up enough liberal Republican votes to push this treaty through.
This is Obama’s last try at fulfilling his gun control agenda. In 33 days, everything he accomplished will start being dismantled and he knows it. That is why he is so desperate to get this treaty pushed through.
And that is why it is so important for you to stop him!
