When Michigan police responded to the scene of an accident last week, it seemed like it would be just the average stop.
Dr. Michael Arthur Roth, a gynecologist at a local practice, accidentally hit a special needs child with his car. The doctor didn’t flee and he wasn’t under the influence. It was just a horrible accident. The police impounded his car but when it got to the lot, they found something disgusting and startling. There were 14 containers of fetal tissue in the doctor’s trunk.
Now, the doctor is under investigation for performing illegal late term abortions and illegally harvesting fetal tissue for profit. He joins the growing list of abortionists caught in the act.
Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has announced that it will no longer accept monetary compensation for fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood’s director says this was to put to rest the Conservative allegations of illegality once and for all.
Really? They were under investigation for illegally profiting from selling unborn babies’ body parts and now their solution is just to stop and say “nothing to see here?”
Planned Parenthood broke the law but as the case of Dr. Roth shows, this is far more widespread than we ever could have imagined!
We are talking about the conscience of this nation. We are talking about the illegal sale and trade of unborn babies’ body parts and organs.
42 U.S. Code § 289g–2 lays out the law quite clearly:
“It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any human fetal tissue for valuable consideration if the transfer affects interstate commerce.”
The law says nothing of profitability… it merely focuses on “valuable consideration.”
Whether we are talking about a multi-million dollar organization like Planned Parenthood or an individual like Dr. Roth selling aborted babies out of the trunk of his car, it is abhorrent what is happening in this country.
Gone are the days that doctors looked upon unborn babies with wonder. Today, many of these doctors see nothing but dollar signs. For goodness sake, there is a Planned Parenthood executive on tape joking about raising the prices for fetal tissue because she wants to buy an expensive sports car.
It is sad to see how far we’ve fallen but it is not too late to turn this around.
Planned Parenthood thinks that by changing its policy, Congress will abandon its investigations into its previous illegal sales.
Unfortunately, many Republicans are actually considering giving up. The have pretended to do something about it and now they want to just move on to something else.
Meanwhile, children continue being killed in the womb and sold for parts. Despicable.
So I ask you: Do you support Planned Parenthood’s change of policy and agree that we should just forget about their criminal enterprise?
Do you agree with the Establishment Republicans that we should abandon these investigations and ignore the abortion industry’s crimes?
If that is how you feel, then by all means do nothing and let this scandal fade into memory.
But if you are ready to take this fight to them and put a stop to this butchery once and for all, then I need you to stand with me and DEMAND that Congress finish the job and defund these horrible butcher shops!
