Over the past few weeks, the Left showed its hand and revealed how much they hate conservatism and how far they are willing to go to stop us. We fought against them with everything we had and today, barring another Jeff Flake moment, Judge Brett Kavanaugh will become Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh this afternoon.
I cannot express my gratitude enough to you. The Left truly through everything they had at us and we won.
Brett Kavanaugh will be the 69th judge that Donald Trump has put on the bench since taking office, an amazing statistic given the Left's dedication to obstruction. But there are still 169 Federal Judiciary vacancies waiting to be filled, not to mention the hundreds of other Executive Branch vacancies that are just waiting for a vote.
We cannot afford to leave these vacancies open.
When the Judiciary Committee voted on Kavanaugh, they were supposed to also vote on nine other Trump nominees. They never got their vote because the Democrats stalled and wasted the committee's time grandstanding. When it comes to executive vacancies, Democrats are forcing Congress to vote on each one individually.
Under the current rules, the Left has the power to force 30 hours of debate on each nominee. If Congress did nothing else and only focused on confirmations, they wouldn't even be able to get through them all before the end of Trump's first term.
They lost on Kavanaugh. Now, Schumer and the Dems are promising to block the rest of Trump's nominees. On Legislative issues, they are promising their base that they will block every single Trump proposal that comes up for a vote.
The Kavanaugh fight proved just how low the Democrats are willing to go to block conservatism. It's time to go to war with the Left!
Mitch McConnell gave an interview last night about the Democrats' smear tactics.
"I mean, it's pretty clear they were willing to do anything, say anything to try to win," McConnell explained. "No boundaries. I think we'll get past it in terms of relationships. But, it was a tough period. I hope they learned a lesson. You can do this kind of thing but it doesn't necessarily get you to victory."
Personally, I hope the GOP learned a lesson.
I saw things I never could of dreamed of coming from establishment GOPers. Somewhere over the past two weeks, Lindsey Graham rediscovered his backbone and became a fighter. Susan Collins, who is the biggest RINO in Congress, gave a speech yesterday that had me applauding at the television.
If you told me two weeks ago that I'd be applauding Graham and Collins today, I would have interpreted that as a personal insult. But they listened to you, and they fought for you. Now it is up to you to force them to keep fighting.
Across the country, we are seeing Obama judges trying to chip away at the Trump agenda. Just this week, an Obama judge blocked the President from repatriating hundreds of thousands of foreigners to their home country. These were people who were given "temporary protected status" decades ago when natural disasters hit their home country. An Obama judge literally took the Temporary Visa program and redefined it to be permanent amnesty.
Another Obama judge just approved a Democrat lawsuit against the President over his ownership of hotels across the country. They are claiming he is violating the Constitution, and the Obama judge agrees.
We are seeing radical Obama judges issuing ruling on refugees, immigration, gun policy, environmental restrictions, and practically every other issue you can think of. With so many vacancies in the Judiciary, the odds of cases being assigned to Obama judges have never been higher.
Every day that Trump judges are kept off the bench is another day that an Obama judge can try to resurrect liberal policies.
Fight back now!
Mitch McConnell pushed this through. With all of the disagreements we have with him over policy and procedure, McConnell did an excellent job pushing Gorsuch and Kavanaugh through. But that was only possible because of the nuclear option, and McConnell only invoked the nuclear option because YOU pressured him to!
Now, it is time to pressure him and the GOPers again!
Do not let them return to the status quo. Do not let people like Graham go back to being a RINO pushover.
Under the current rules, the Democrats can stall for thousands of hours to block the rest of Trump's judicial nominees. They lost on Kavanaugh, but they are doubling down to block the rest of Trump's nominees from getting through Congress.
Kavanaugh was a major win for us. Now it is time to take the fight to the hundreds of other nominations that are languishing in Congress!
