Oh boy, this is ridiculous. When I saw this headline, I did a double take because surely it couldn't be true. Surely San Francisco -- the 15th largest city in the United States -- didn't just label millions of NRA members  as terrorists.

But sure enough, that is exactly what happened.

San Francisco's Board of Supervisors has just passed a resolution declaring the National Rifle Association to be a “domestic terrorist organization." They also urged the Federal government to follow suit.

Specifically, the resolution alleges that the NRA uses its "considerable wealth and organization strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence.”

"All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in America do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence,” the resolution continues.

It concludes by prohibiting San Francisco employees from doing business with the NRA and vowing to reassess the City's business relationships on a regular basis to weed out companies or organizations that share the NRA's views.

First of all, I am going to go out on a limb and say that the City of San Francisco is not, and never has, done business with the National Rifle Association. So on that point alone, the resolution is nothing more than a publicity stunt. However this anti-gun owner animus is new. We have always known that liberals despise gun owners. But to go so far as to call people terrorists for belonging to the nation's oldest civil rights organization is definitely new.

But then again, we have already seen this progression. If you support border enforcement, the Left calls you a Nazi. If you oppose reparations, you are a bigot. If you are against radical feminist policies, then you are a misogynist. Is it any surprise that the Left has now shifted to labeling innocent gun owners as terrorists?

It would be laughable if there weren't real world implications to this. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed this resolution because it is a politically popular opinion on the left. This is what passes for mainstream Democrat politics nowadays...

And to think that there are NRA members in San Francisco. Not many, probably, but at least some. And these elected officials just labeled their own constituents as terrorists, even though they have never committed any acts of violence.

But this is what the Left does. They want to divide the conservative movement. People are less likely to join the NRA if they think there will be real-world repercussions. We have already seen how California has gone after companies that are working on the border wall. The Left is using what power they have to pummel conservatives into submission.

Most people join the NRA because they care about supporting and defending the 2nd Amendment. They know that their $30 dues will do more for the cause then they ever could on their own. Recognize what the Left is doing. They are accusing millions of innocent people of providing financial assistance to a terrorist organization. That is a Federal felony. When San Francisco called for the Feds to declare the NRA a terrorist organization, they are ultimately saying that all NRA donors be prosecuted...

It only took a couple of weeks of calling ICE agents Nazis before crazed leftists started firebombing ICE facilities. It is not hard to guess what will happen if more and more liberals start branding NRA members as terrorists...
