ATTENTION CONGRESS:
On Friday, the Wall Street Journal reported about a $420 million round of funding in October of 2018 for embattled crypto exchange FTX. According to the report, close to three-quarters of that money was cashed out to FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
Breitbart News picked up the story on Sunday, “According to people familiar with the matter, Mr. Bankman-Fried’s cashout was large even by Silicon Valley startup-world standards, where such sales were historically considered unacceptable as they allowed founders to profit before investors. According to Bankman-Fried, he bought out rival Binance’s stake in FTX a few months prior to the transaction and reimbursed investors part of the money he had spent.”
Bankman-Fried is a well-known Democrat Super Donor, second only to George Soros in donations to donkey candidates and causes. But FTX funneled more money into Republican’s politics in the 2022 midterm elections than that of Democrats.
Dark money is unethical and unconstitutional. You in the Congress have embraced dark money – both sides of your supposed aisle – which has led to an overwhelming lack of trust in US elections.
Consider the latest Rasmussen Poll, the only poll that looks at the public’s trust in elections. Published on November 14, the poll found that 57% of likely U.S. voters believe this month’s midterm election outcomes have been affected by cheating. 30% say it’s Very Likely.
All this dark money is fueling propaganda as well as electronic voting equipment. It fuels ballot trafficking as well as human trafficking, though the latter is a subject for another day. You are losing more and more of the public’s trust every day.
DEMAND FOR REMEDY: We demand new elections immediately, without the centralization and electronic equipment. Additionally, we demand an independent audit of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, and political donations immediately. Remember your oath.
