You would think that Democrats would have learned their lesson. For the second time, they were forced to watch as bogus impeachment charges were dismissed. They watched as their hope to purge Trump from American politics went up in smoke.
As we reported, one of the biggest motivators for the Left was that impeachment and conviction would have forbidden Trump from ever running for re-election again.
I don't know if Donald Trump is the best candidate to run in 2024, but we have four years to figure that out. And ultimately, that is a decision to be left to Donald Trump himself (on whether he wants to run) and the voters (whether they want him to run). Democrats should have no say in it.
After yesterday's acquittal, it would appear that the Left has lost. Surely, they would admit defeat and move on to other issues, right?

Immediately after the acquittal vote, Democrats began circulating a plan to use the 14th Amendment to bar Trump from ever holding public office again. Chuck Schumer was asked directly and he told reporters that Democrats were actively considering it.
Section 3 of the 14th Amendment reads as follows:
"No Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
Democrats don't have the votes to convict on impeachment. But they believe they would have the votes to pass a resolution declaring that Donald Trump engaged in insurrection against the United States.
Seven Republicans voted with Democrats yesterday in favor of conviction: Pat Toomey (PA), Ben Sasse (NE), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Susan Collins (ME), Mitt Romney (UT), Richard Burr (NC), and Bill Cassidy (LA). Senator Burr released a statement after his vote proclaiming that he believes the trial was unconstitutional, but voted to convict because he believes in "Senate precedent." He literally admitted to violating the Constitution with his vote.
Democrats believe that they have the votes to pass a 14th Amendment resolution, declare Trump to be a traitor, and bar him from ever holding office again. They are hopeful that this could lead to criminal charges against Trump and the ultimate revocation of his Presidential library. These people are so sick...
But as we saw with the Republicans yesterday, they are more than willing to stab conservatives in the back and join the Democrats. They truly believe they are untouchable...

Democrats will not rest until Donald Trump is "punished."
Everything they are doing to him, they wish they could do to you. They wish they could cancel you, prosecute you, and drag your good name through the mud. Not because you did anything wrong. No, they hate you because of your political beliefs.
There are already reports that Republicans are planning to join Democrats in censuring Trump. Mitch McConnell is reportedly leading that charge because he wants to purge Trump (and his supporters from the party).
The Democrats and Republicans will not stop until YOU stop them!
