Article 2, Section 2, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution dictates that "each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors" to the Electoral College.
All fifty state legislatures have given their states' executives the power to conduct elections and name Electors according to the result of the votes. But the Constitution still allows legislatures to intervene if those vote counts are illegitimate.
The last time a legislature directly chose the state's Electors to the Electoral College was 1876 (Colorado had only recently become a state and hadn't devised its election process yet). However, this power still rests with the state legislatures.
Yes, the Electoral College voted last week. But until those results are certified by Congress, Donald Trump still has a pathway to victory because state legislatures can still certify their own winner.
Right now, that process is underway in two key states: Arizona and Georgia. If the legislatures of AZ and GA can exercise their power to certify a winner, then Trump will need to flip just one more state (Wisconsin, Michigan, or Pennsylvania) to drag Joe Biden below the 270 Electoral College votes he would need to win.
In Wisconsin, the GOP is preparing to file a final lawsuit to invalidate tens of thousands of ballots cast by people illegally claiming to be "involuntarily confined" to their homes (when they really weren't). In Michigan and Arizona, the legislatures have subpoenaed electronic voting machines in Detroit and Maricopa County (respectively) to audit the results. If those subpoenas continue to be ignored, the legislatures there are prepared to meet and certify Trump as the winner. And in Pennsylvania, the President has filed one final lawsuit at the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of how Pennsylvania conducted their elections.
If one of those states also flips, then it is over.
But cowards in the GOP - like Mitt Romney - are declaring that the election is over. Even if these states are flipped and switched into Trump's column, Romney is promising to vote to certify Biden as the winner anyway...
These GOP cowards must be stopped!
I want to tell you about Pennsylvania State Senator Ryan Aument. Yesterday, he was invited to the White House by President Donald Trump to discuss the election irregularities in his state and the push to call a special session to invalidate Joe Biden's fraudulent win. State Senator Aument, however, said he was declining the invite because it would be a waste of time.
"I can’t take a day and go... I don’t know that there’s much to come out of that conversation, frankly," Aument explained.
What followed was incredible. More than 50,000 concerned citizens started calling the State Senator's office. He received countless faxes and emails demanding that he stop trying to sabotage the President (and there will likely be many letters that arrive once the mail resumes after Christmas).
And just like that, Sen. Aument decided to change his tune. Instead of resisting a Special Session of the Pennsylvania Legislature, Ryan Aument is now signed on as a co-sponsor.
The pressure worked. We are seeing similar results in Arizona and Georgia. GOPers who were resisting the calls for a Special Session are now caving under the pressure and agreeing to do the right thing.
Remember in Michigan when the Wayne County Board of Canvassers voted to certify Detroit's election tally under duress? The FBI just arrested a woman who threatened one of those board members with death and dismemberment unless they voted to declare Biden the winner. The Detroit certification was illegitimate, calling the state's certified vote totals into question.
But ultimately, it is all going to come down to Congress. Whether Joe Biden's so-called win* is invalidated by a legislature, a court, or as the result of Rep. Mo Brooks' formal objection, Congress will ultimately have to vote and declare which candidate won the 2020 Election. An objection will be filed and Congress will have to hold an on-the-record vote.
The hard part is done. Now it is up to YOU to hold Congress' feet to the fire and force them to do the right thing!
Cowards like Mitt Romney are promising to vote to coronate Joe Biden as the winner no matter what... They don't care whether the election was stolen. They would rather elect a Democrat than have Trump for another four years...
But now that there is going to be an on-the-record vote, the momentum is back in our favor. Republicans know it would be career suicide to ignore the fraud and irregularities and declare Biden as the winner anyway.
And that is where you come in!Just like the massive pressure campaign that hit Pennsylvania State Sen. Ryan Aument yesterday, you must rise up right now!
