Liz Cheney is a Congresswoman from Wyoming, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, and the Chairwoman of the House Republican Caucus. That makes her the #3 Ranked Republican in the House.
Yesterday, she announced that she will be joining Democrats to vote to impeach the President... And she is going to do it TODAY!
On the House side, as many as two dozen Republicans are expected to join Democrats to impeach Trump.
On the Senate side, reports published last night indicate that Mitch McConnell now supports impeachment and conviction and the Senate GOP Whips will not whip up the vote and will instead allow Republicans to 'vote their conscience.'
By our count, at least six Republicans are on record or highly likely to support Trump's impeachment. Another six or seven are privately considering how they would vote. That would put Democrats in the Senate just 4 or 5 votes away from actually convicting Trump.
Donald Trump broke no laws. He stood on stage and exercised his protected first amendment right to express himself and petition the government for a redress of grievances. Just to make sure no one could infer any calls to violence in his speech, Trump told the attendees to peacefully protest at the US Capitol.
And yet, the Democrats are doing it anyway. They are impeaching Trump for "inciting a riot" when he did no such thing. In fairness, that isn't far off from what they did last year: impeaching the President over a phone call...
Except this time, they are not holding committee hearings. The debate will be limited to just two hours. The Left is pushing forward with the fastest impeachment in American history, just days before Trump's turn ends.
And the idiot Republicans are going along with it!
Make no mistake, there are people like Mitt Romney who want Trump impeached and convicted because they truly, truly hate him.
The rest of the GOPers who are joining Democrats, however, are doing this because they believe it is the best shot to win re-election. Usually this kind of calculating is normal. With just two years until the next election, with all House seats and 1/3 of the Senate up for grabs then, the GOP has to be strategic.
But what they're doing now is insane. They are planning to impeach and convict an outgoing Republican President just days before his term ends for a crime he did not commit, all in an attempt to preserve their own political careers.
This is where you come in. These GOP traitors have decided that they will gain more than they'll lose if they join Democrats to impeach and convict Trump.
It is up to YOU to prove them wrong! But we are running out of time... If you want to stop this disgusting betrayal, you need to take action right now!
