The number of bills that the House of Representatives has passed this year, but the Senate has refused to vote on, is approaching 400.
Think about that. There are well over three hundred pieces of legislation that passed one chamber of Congress without even getting a vote in the Senate. Mitch McConnell simply refuses to hold the votes.
These bills include a number of measures that we have been fighting for years to pass. The House passed Kate's Law -- a bill to ensure that when illegal alien repeat criminals are caught, they automatically get prison time. After a liberal jury acquitted Kate Steinle's killer, it is more important than ever to pass this bill.
The House has also passed the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, legislation to ban abortion after week-20 of pregnancy (the point that unborn babies develop the ability to feel pain). This bill would save 27 babies every day from the scourge of abortion. Since it has sat on Mitch McConnell's desk since October 3, that means that his inaction has literally condemned 1917 babies to death.
Then there is the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, a bill to restore the 2nd Amendment's right to carry to all law-abiding Americans in all 50 states. If Mitch McConnell waits until next year to vote on this, the new Democrat Senator from Alabama will make it one vote harder to pass in the Senate.
These are literally just three of the hundreds of half-passed bills that Mitch McConnell refuses to put to a vote. With Democrat Doug Jones winning last night in Alabama, that means that early next year, the GOP majority in the Senate will drop from 52 to 51 votes. That means that it will take 9 Democrats to pass bills instead of 8, and any one RINO would be able to sabotage a bill on his or her own.
We are done waiting. It is time to remove Mitch McConnell from power.
With the exception of Neil Gorsuch's confirmation, McConnell has utterly failed at implementing the Conservative agenda that has been promised us for years.
The bills are sitting on his desk. Some of them have been there for the better part of a year, and yet he just refuses to let them pass to the floor of the Senate. Back in 2013, McConnell sharply criticized Senate Democrats for blocking votes on Conservative bills. Now that he has the power to send legislation to President Trump's desk, McConnell has proven himself to be nothing but a hypocrite...
Enough is enough.
And Paul Ryan isn't out of the woods, either. He's scheduled the votes, but he hasn't done everything in his power to get these bills to President Trump's desk. On five occasions, Ryan could have attached bills to must-pass spending and budget bills. And yet, every time, he has instead chosen to keep the Obama-era programs fully funded.
The Establishment never wanted a Trump victory. They wanted Hillary Clinton to win so they could spend the next 4-8 years making more empty promises to Conservative voters. They HATE that they are now forced to pass the bills they promised the American people.
With a Democrat taking one of Alabama's Senate seats, we are up against the clock. Doug Jones will be seated in early January. When that happens, it will become even harder to pass these bills. Mitch McConnell is celebrating today. He stalled for an entire year and in just a matter of weeks, he will have yet another excuse for accomplishing nothing.
McConnell and the GOP leadership won't let the votes happen. They must be removed!
It doesn't give us any pleasure to call for this. We wanted nothing more than for the GOP establishment to wake up and start passing the agenda that the American people voted for. Instead, McConnell predictably spent the last year sitting on his hands.
One man literally stands in the way of passing the Conservative agenda.
We are now up against the clock. It is literally now or never.
Kick him to the curb!
