I am writing to convey my profound outrage over the recent actions, or more accurately, the blatant misconduct, of Attorney General Merrick Garland. Last week, Congress voted to hold Attorney General Garland in contempt due to his outright refusal to provide the audio of Special Counsel Robert Hur's interview with President Joe Biden about his mishandling of classified documents. Despite this vote, Garland continues his defiance. Now, Congress is considering suing him. This is an unacceptable and grossly inadequate response.

The consequence of being held in contempt of Congress is imprisonment, not a lawsuit. Garland's flagrant disregard for congressional authority and his continuous obstruction of justice demand immediate imprisonment. The American people are sick and tired of this charade. We demand accountability and transparency from our public officials, yet Garland's actions are a direct assault on these fundamental principles.

Merrick Garland has repeatedly and shamelessly covered up for the Biden family. The Hunter Biden plea deal is a glaring example of this. IRS whistleblowers Joseph Ziegler and Gary Shapley exposed that DOJ officials, under Garland's command, deliberately slowed down the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden's tax issues, obstructed subpoenas and search warrants, and blocked felony charges. Rep. Jim Jordan has highlighted Hunter Biden's corrupt dealings with Burisma, where he held an outrageously lucrative position without any qualifications, and how Biden used his influence to fire a prosecutor investigating Burisma. Despite undeniable evidence of tax fraud, Hunter Biden received a slap on the wrist, with reports indicating that he and his father funneled millions to evade taxes. The Justice Department, under Garland's watch, allowed these charges to expire.

Garland has also evaded questions from Rep. Jim Jordan and Rep. Thomas Massie, obstructing Congress's oversight. This evasion alone is grounds for impeachment.

Now, in 2024, Garland continues his cover-up for the Biden family, this time by refusing to hand over the audio of Special Counsel Robert Hur's interview with President Joe Biden. Hur's refusal to prosecute Biden is partly because a jury might sympathize with Biden as an "elderly man with a poor memory." This is absurd and insulting to the American people.

Last week, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and nine other Republicans warned that U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland would be brought into custody for failing to deliver the tapes of Special Counsel Rob Hur's interview with President Biden to Congress. Garland failed to provide the tapes within the allotted time, and now Congress is considering suing him.

Suing Garland is not only inadequate; it is an insult to the American people. He should have been taken into custody the moment he defied the subpoena and was found in contempt of Congress. Garland is not above the law. Congress must bring him into custody immediately and begin the impeachment process.

There is no alternative: suing Garland is NOT enough. He must be impeached and imprisoned. The Department of Justice, under his leadership, has demonstrated blatant partiality and a willingness to obstruct justice. They have impeded the Hunter Biden investigation, withheld the Biden audio interview, obstructed efforts to secure subpoenas and search warrants, and repeatedly hindered prosecutors from filing felony charges. Garland has shown nothing but contempt for Congress, refusing to provide straightforward answers and obstructing its constitutional duty of oversight. The punishment for this crime is imprisonment.

Our government should be composed of individuals loyal to the Constitution and the American people above all else. Merrick Garland is a disgrace to this standard; he is loyal only to President Biden and his corrupt family. I demand immediate action to impeach and imprison Merrick Garland.
