I am writing to express my deep concerns about the growing influence and unchecked power of the World Health Organization (WHO) and its collaboration with the United Nations. The recent actions taken by these organizations, including the push for a pandemic treaty and amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR), have raised significant alarm bells, and I urge you to take immediate action to protect our national sovereignty.

The WHO, in partnership with the UN, continues to engage in a power-grabbing saga that threatens the rights and freedoms of American citizens. The reduction in the time nations have to opt out of amendments to the IHR is a clear example of this power grab, as it limits our ability to make independent decisions about our public health policies. Such actions are deeply concerning and undermine our constitutional rights.

The proposed Pandemic treaty, which the WHO and the UN are advocating for, is nothing more than an attempt to grant the WHO unchecked authority over countries during times of crisis. We should never entrust a foreign health authority with the power to dictate our nation's actions during such times. It is the prerogative of the American people, in accordance with our Constitution, to determine our response to global pandemics.

Furthermore, the World Health Assembly's decision in 2022 to reduce the period for opting out of future IHR amendments is troubling. This change was made without our consent, further eroding our national sovereignty. Nations are now given only 10 months to opt out, and the implementation period for new IHR amendments has been cut to 12 months, down from 24.

It is imperative that our elected officials in Congress take a stand against these encroachments on our sovereignty. This leads me to House Resolution 79, also known as the WHO Withdrawal Act, introduced by Congressman Andy Biggs on January 9, 2023. H.R. 79 would halt all United States funding to the WHO and repeal the Act of June 14, 1948, which initially led the United States to join the WHO. It is the first step in the one-year process to enable the United States to exit the WHO.

I implore you to educate yourself on H.R. 79 and its potential to safeguard our national sovereignty. It is crucial that our Members of Congress comprehend the risks associated with maintaining our membership in the WHO.

It is time for Congress to act decisively and exit the WHO. Our elected representatives, who attend UN summits, have a duty to represent the will of the American people. They must work toward freeing the United States from the UN and severing ties with the WHO, the pandemic treaty, and IHR Amendments. It is their obligation to uphold our Constitution and protect our freedom.

I demand you to support H.R. 79 - The WHO Withdrawal Act - and take a strong stand against the WHO's power grabs and the erosion of our national sovereignty. We, the American people, are counting on you to defend our rights and liberties.
