The American People are fed up with the out-of-control spending in DC. 

 

For decades Congress has spent far more than the government collects and this has created the perception that the government has unlimited spending capabilities without serious consequence. It does not, and the consequences are certain and severe driving inflation of our currency critically reducing the buying power of the dollar making everyone poorer. 

 

To remain in power and in an attempt to appease voters, those same members refuse to balance the budget by lowering expenditures and increasing taxes “kicking the can down the road” for future generations to assume. This is immoral and unconstitutional.

 

As Americans struggle to make ends meet, having to decide between housing and food for their families, Congress writes themselves a blank check spending finite resources as if they were infinite. As individuals must balance their budget so must governments or inevitably they will default on their debts. This is a matter of fact.

 

Most people cannot accurately conceptualize what a trillion dollars really amounts to as the national debt approaches $32 Trillion this number becomes fantasy. To ground that concept consider that the earth is only 4.5 Billion years old, 54 Billion month old, 236 Billion weeks old, 1.65 Trillion days old or 39.8 Trillion hours old. In a human lifetime there are less than 3 billion seconds. The distance from the sun to the earth is 94.2 Million miles away, 497 Billion feet away, 5.9 Trillion inches away. 

 

Spending by Congress at this rate is simply unethical, and unsustainable and is not supported by the majority. It is essential that Congress reign in the national debt by slashing all spending that does not directly benefit the American People.
