Congress Abandons Duty as Biden Gaslights on Gas Prices

As we reported yesterday, the Biden Administration continues to take a victory lap on gas prices, with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre telling the press gaggle that the administration was:

“Taking every step to ensure markets are sufficiently supplied, to meet demand for a growing global economy. Thanks to our efforts we’ve seen energy prices decline…Americans are paying far less at the pump.”

Comrade KJP makes it sound like the government is controlling the means of energy production, no?

Her comments come as Los Angeles County set a record high of $6.466 per gallon on Monday morning which, according to Breitbart, soared “past the previous record set during the nationwide price surge this past spring.” From the piece:

“As Breitbart News has reported, gasoline prices have risen in California over the past several weeks… Californians already paid the highest gas prices in the nation, due to environmental regulations and taxes, but the limited number of refineries — thanks to those same regulations — means that when some are down for maintenance, whether scheduled or unscheduled, the state cannot easily replace the missing supply. Gov. Gavin Newsom recently announced that gas stations would be allowed to sell a cheaper ‘winter blend,’ which produces more of the emissions the state wants to restrict, several weeks ahead of schedule.”

Does it matter who owns the equipment when the government gets to determine production? Asking for a comrade.

While the mainstream media is reporting that California is a unique case, they’re just running damage control for The State. East Idaho News is reporting:

“Today, Idaho’s average price for regular is $4.42 per gallon, which is a penny more than a week ago, but 11 cents less than a month ago. Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.80 per gallon, which is seven cents more than a week ago and about the same price as a month ago. The Gem State currently ranks 8th in the U.S. for most expensive fuel behind California ($6.37), Nevada ($5.49), Oregon ($5.42), Alaska ($5.32), Washington ($5.29), Hawaii ($5.21), and Arizona ($4.49). ‘At least six California refineries are in the middle of seasonal maintenance, and that, coupled with steady demand, has sent shockwaves across the West Coast, with prices jumping by 59 cents a gallon in California this past week, 43 cents in Oregon, and 38 cents in Washington,’ says AAA Idaho public affairs director Matthew Conde.”

Similar stories can be read in the local news of Ohio, Illinois, Rhode Island, and Kentucky, where local reporting quotes AAA, “Kentucky’s average gas price 15 cents higher in a week.”

The Biden-Harris administration will no doubt blame the hurricanes for the rise in gas prices, but the reality is that energy prices – including electricity, natural gas, and gasoline – are up across the board.

It’s not from a storm, it’s from the terrible energy policy of the Dementia Patient and his elder-abusing handlers.

Here is today’s letter to Congress.

ATTENTION CONGRESS:

Remember when, according to the Energy Information Administration, the week Biden took office, the national average price of a gallon of gasoline was $2.38? We remember.

Yesterday, Comrade KJP lied to reporters, and by extension the American People, when she said the administration was, “Taking every step to ensure markets are sufficiently supplied, to meet demand for a growing global economy. Thanks to our efforts we’ve seen energy prices decline…Americans are paying far less at the pump.”

Her comments came on the same day that gas prices reached a record high in Los Angeles County, California. They’re up in Ohio, Illinois, Idaho, and Colorado. In Kentucky, gas prices increased 15 cents in just one week, according to AAA.

If KJP speaks for the president, and openly lies, does that mean it’s the President’s lie? Does the truth mean anything to any of you, anymore, or are you so focused on keeping your phony baloney jobs that you’ve abandoned your oath?

You cannot gaslight the American People on gas prices. We’re the ones paying them. You take your motorcades to your private jets and fly off to the next public appearance where you gaslight us on the economic pain we’re feeling.

We see you. You’re completely exposed as phonies, frauds, and liars. We remember your oath, even if you don’t.

DEMAND FOR REMEDY: Biden’s energy policy is largely based on Executive Orders. The Biden Administration has taken over the energy industry with the stroke of the pen, and you’ve allowed this to happen. Reclaim your legislative authority, and put restrictions on Executive Order authorities.

Otherwise, you’re just another comrade that will be held accountable.
