Impeach Her Too! Harris Declares Hurricane Relief will be Based on Equity

We continue to pray for those impacted by Hurricane Ian in Florida and up the eastern seaboard. As the waters recede, and those impacted assess the damage, the affected communities will need our support for months, and even years, to come.

That support should be apolitical. It should be based on need. But for the sitting Vice President of the US, that support should be equitable:

“It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making,” Harris said Friday, during Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum. “And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place...and if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities and do that work.”

This resulted in justifiable outrage over the weekend, as Americans absorbed the weight of Harris’ words. According to Fox News, Harris distributed disaster relief for a photo op but dodged questions from reporters seeking clarification on her “equity” claims.

Christina Pushaw, a Director with the DeSantis’ campaign, laid into Harris over the claims, tweeting, “This is false. @VP’s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified. FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background. If you need assistance visit disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.”

Elon Musk clapped back as well, “Should be according to greatest, not race or anything else.”

For damage control, the administration called in FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell. Criswell joined “Face the Nation” on Sunday to attempt to make sense of Harris’ equity flub:

“Our programs support everybody,” Criswell claimed, adding, “I would say I believe some of the things the vice president was talking about are the long-term recovery and rebuilding these communities to be able to withstand disasters, so they can have less impact. We’re going to support all communities.”

Nice save, Deanne.

Hurricane Ian is being called the worst hurricane in Florida’s history. The pictures of devastation are shocking, and rebuilding will take years. The idea that support for rebuilding should be based on immutable characteristics is vile and reprehensible.

Here is today’s letter to Congress.

ATTENTION CONGRESS:

“It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making. And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place...and if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities and do that work.” - Kamala Harris, Speaking about Hurricane Relief at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum.

By now you’ve heard of the Vice President’s vile and reprehensible words. These words came after she almost started WWIII last week in Japan, and then again in the Korean DMZ. The words of the Vice President matter, and this woman is a walking disaster whose words cause very real problems.

As Christina Pushaw, a Director with the DeSantis’ campaign, said about Harris’ words from on the ground in Florida relief efforts, “This is false. @VP’s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified. FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background. If you need assistance visit disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.”

DEMAND FOR REMEDY: Impeach both Biden and Harris for incompetence, illegitimacy, and for bringing our nation to the brink of nuclear war.

Stop with your marxist equity nonsense or you will be removed as well. Americans impacted by the storm – or by the hundreds of other devastating policy prescriptions that have destroyed our way of life – do not need racist, communist government interventions by those who have forgotten themselves and forgotten their oath.

We will not forget. Get on the right side of history.
