No Honor! Biden Thanks USCG Hero for Work During Hurricane – Before Discharging Over Vaccine Status
Hurricane Ian is being called the worst hurricane in Florida’s history. The pictures of devastation are shocking, and rebuilding will take years. Our prayers are with everyone in Florida and everyone else in the path of this devastating storm.
First responders are critical during a hurricane. They are heroes that risk their own lives to rescue vulnerable Americans.
Zach Loesch is a True Hero
This was certainly the case with Zach Loesch, a Coast Guard Aviation Survival Technician Second Class who, according to Breitbart reporting, “personally pulled out a disabled woman and her husband who were trapped in their back bedroom with a couch jammed in the doorway. He kicked through a wall in order to free them.”
He then went back for her wheelchair and strapped it to his body as the USCG helicopter pulled him up. The report says he also rescued several dogs and cats.
Joe Biden called Loesch on Friday to personally thank him for saving people’s lives during Hurricane Ian. Then, the Biden White House bragged about the phone call in a press release:
“President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke today with Lieutenant Commander Christopher Hooper and Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Zach Loesch to personally thank them for the heroic work that they and their Coast Guard colleagues have performed during search and rescue operations in response to Hurricane Ian. The President thanked them for saving lives and asked for a report on the work that continues to rescue Floridians.”
Biden’s press release neglected to mention that “Loesch is due to be kicked out from the Coast Guard in 30-60 days due to Biden’s own mandate that all members of the United States Armed Forces be fully vaccinated…Loesch had submitted a request for religious accommodation, as well as an appeal, but both were denied, according to Loesch.”
Loesch spoke to Breitbart about his work during Hurricane Ian, his phone call with Biden, and his denied religious exemption on Saturday:
“If I had asked any of the people I saved yesterday if they wanted to come with me even though I am unvaccinated, every single one of them would have said ‘yes.’”
“Loesch said he did not want to bring up his pending discharge to Biden — who is essentially his commander-in-chief — and ruin the call.”
“‘It just sucks that he thanked me yet the vaccine mandate is what’s kicking me out,’ he said. ‘I just love my job and I’m really good at it. It sucks. I feel like this is the job that I was born to do.’”
Wait, there are still vaccine mandates?
Vaccine mandates were instituted in November 2021 by Executive Order, targeting any business with over 100 employees. This faced immediate legal challenges, culminating in the US Supreme Court blocking the mandate for large employers, but allowing mandates for employers who receive federal funding.
From the New York Times, “The unsigned majority opinion in the employer case said a statute on workplace hazards did not justify a mandate that would have required more than 80 million workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus or to wear masks and be tested weekly. It also stressed the novelty and sweep of the mandate issued by the Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, saying Congress had not authorized the agency to act and describing its response as ‘a blunt instrument.’”
Unfortunately, this ruling leaves our military and other federal personnel vulnerable.
A Few Good Men (and Women)
Military vaccine mandates have been back and forth in the courts, with military members who value bodily autonomy facing uncertainty about their futures.
This of course impacts military readiness but, worse, this unconstitutional mandate has resulted in our most critical thinking service members leaving the service.
The men and women who are brave enough to stand in opposition to unconstitutional orders – when those orders are coming from the Commander-in-Chief – are exactly the men and women we need in our Armed Services.
By purging those brave enough to stand up for bodily autonomy, the Biden Administration is purging the military of dissent. This should concern every American.
The end of the 1992 film, A Few Good Men captures clearly what we’re losing with this move:
Downey: Colonel Jessup said he ordered the Code Red! What did we do wrong? … What did we do wrong? We did nothing wrong!
Dawson: Yeah, we did. We were supposed to fight for people who couldn't fight for themselves. We were supposed to fight for Willy.
Biden’s military vaccine mandates dishonor the mission and those who swear the oath. Thank you to Loesch and all the others who have their honor intact, in the face of great coercion, pressure, and consequences for noncompliance.
You are our heroes.

Here is today’s letter to Congress.
ATTENTION CONGRESS:

Allowing Biden’s unconstitutional Executive Order to stand is a dereliction of your duty.
DEMAND FOR REMEDY: You must pass to prohibit vaccine mandates for Armed Services (see: H.R.3860).
Biden’s military vaccine mandates dishonor the mission and those who swear the oath. Find your honor, remember your oath, and stand in the gap for our service members.
