Reverse this Administration’s Devastating Policies and Put American Workers First
Happy Labor Day everyone! We know that you have plans today and festivities to attend, so today’s letter to Congress is short and sweet. Shoot off your fax before heading out to enjoy the holiday.
According to the US Department of Labor, today is the “annual celebration of the social and economic achievements of American workers. The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being.”
As American workers, do you feel strong, prosperous, and well?

The value of labor has been diluted, first through the rollback of President Trump’s tax policy which overwhelmingly benefited the middle class, and now with inflation reducing the spending power of American workers.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics is reporting an 8.5% increase in the Consumer Price Index. But when you break it down, you see the items that Americans buy regularly are much higher with food rising 11% and gasoline rising 44%. These are lagging metrics, with the most recent reporting from July 2022.
Congress continues to print and spend, and their latest multi-billion dollar boondoggle includes new taxes (and fees, costs, tariffs, tolls, charges) for working Americans, many of whom are having to choose between medicating or feeding their children – solely due to Washington policy decisions.
DEMAND FOR REMEDY: As American Workers, we demand you reverse the devastating policies of this administration and commit to fiscal policy that puts American workers first! Stop printing money to send overseas and spend on your pet projects. Put America First!

ATTENTION CONGRESS:
