In 1996, your predecessors in Congress amended the Immigration and Nationality Act. While Federal law requires that only Federal officials can enforce immigration law, Congress created an exception in Section 287(g). This program allows ICE to partner with local law enforcement to swiftly deport illegal alien criminals.

We are not talking about petty criminals. These are "undocumented" aliens wanted for crimes like rape and murder.

In 2020, police departments participating in 287(g) apprehended 920 aliens convicted for assault, 1,261 convicted for dangerous drugs, 104 convicted for sex offenses/assaults, 377 convicted for obstructing police, 190 convicted for weapon offenses, and 37 convicted for homicide. These are all illegal alien criminals who were arrested, prosecuted, and slated for deportation because local police worked with ICE to catch them.

Between 2006 and 2015, more than 402,000 alien criminals were deported from the country through ICE's partnership with local police under section 287(g). In recent years, we have seen more agencies sign up to join the program. While there were only 37 participating police departments in early 2017, today there are 146 police departments that work with ICE to track down alien criminals.

The Biden administration, however, has begun rescinding these 287(g) agreements. Just this week, ICE informed the Bristol County (MA) Sheriff's Office that they were kicking them out of the 287(g) program.

To put it in perspective, in this small county of just over a half million people, the Sheriff's Office routinely catches alien criminals. On January 6, 2021, Bristol County Sheriffs arrested a Portuguese illegal alien for aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon. On December 10, 2020, the Sheriffs arrested an illegal alien from Honduras who was wanted for statutory rape of a child. Another Guatemalan illegal alien was arrested in October and charged with assault and battery on a family household member and strangulation/suffocation and placed an immigration detainer and warrant on the subject. This illegal alien already had prior arrests and pending charges for assault with a dangerous weapon, arson of a dwelling, and attempted murder.

By all measures, the people of Bristol County are safer because of the 287(g) program. But starting this week, the Federal government will no longer cooperate with the County in tracking down and apprehending illegal alien criminals. When illegal aliens are apprehended, they will no longer be swiftly processed for deportation. Instead, they will be processed by local courts and become eligible for bail.

This is insane. When Congress passed Section 287(g) into law, they never expected that agreements between ICE and local police would be cancelled like this. They never imagined that an administration would come to power and openly advocate for illegal alien criminals to be allowed to stay in the country...

But that is the situation we now face. Joe Biden has begun rescinding 287(g) agreements to reduce the number of illegal alien criminals being deported.

Do you care about your constituents? Do you want to keep them safe? If you do, you have to stop Joe Biden before it's too late!

Biden is able to rescind these 287(g) agreements because, frankly, the law allows him to do it. But there is a simple fix to this: you need to remove this discretionary authority. You must change the law so that the Executive Branch cannot rescind or block a local police department's involvement in the 287(g) program.

How is America made better by keeping illegal alien murderers, rapists, and hardened criminals in our communities? How does any of this make sense?

This is what happens when a President becomes beholden to the radical voices in his party. If Biden is allowed to do this, innocent people will be victimized. Innocent people will die.

You can fix this. It is easy. You just have to care.

If you do not rise up and stop this madness, their blood will be on your hands!

If you do not stop Joe Biden from protecting illegal alien criminals, you will be removed from office!
