Joe Biden has begun releasing detained illegal aliens WITHOUT Notices to Appear in Court. Instead of giving them court dates and allowing the Federal government to issue deportation orders when they do not show up, the new system will rely on illegal aliens themselves to turn themselves in to authorities to initiate their own deportation proceedings.

Can you imagine if police did this with other criminals? Imagine if police caught a murderer and instead of having him arraigned, they released the killer back into society and told him to go to the courthouse to set up his own trial.

Well, that is what the Biden administration is now doing at the border. There are so many illegal aliens surging the border that US Border Patrol does not have large enough facilities to process them. So, instead of issuing illegal aliens Notices to Appear, we are basically going to operate on the honor system and hope that the migrants turn themselves in once they reach their destination city.

We know that won't happen. The data shows that almost all fraudulent asylum applicants never show up to their court hearings. The difference, though, is that since Notices to Appear result in an illegal alien getting added into the court system, the immigration courts are able to try them in absentia when they don't show up to their court date.

But under Biden's new policy, no immigration hearing can be held until the illegal aliens turn themselves in at a later date and request the proceedings to begin.

Senator Ted Cruz is leading a delegation to the border this week and pledging to put a stop to this catch and release policy before any more damage is done. I implore you to join Senator Cruz and put an end to this madness!

Releasing illegal aliens into the interior without even initiating the immigration court proceedings is a recipe for disaster and you know it.

The only reason that the Biden administration is doing this is because they believe they can get away with it...

You must step in and put a stop to this. You MUST authorize additional Border Patrol and ICE detention funding so they can process illegal aliens without being forced to just release them, no-questions-asked. As much as this is a Biden policy, you had a hand in this. By limiting detention funding and the number of "beds" that can be in these facilities, you have tied these agents' hands. You must put politics aside and give these agencies and departments the funding they need to do their jobs!

Then, you must outlaw catch-and-release. If that means you have to hire hundreds of additional immigration judges to work through the backlog of cases, then you need to do it. But it is insane to release an illegal immigrant into the interior who has already shown a penchant for lawlessness. Illegal aliens should be arraigned and if they are claiming asylum, they should have those claims quickly adjudicated. They should NOT be released into the interior.

If you do these two things, you will solve the crisis at the border. The fact that FEMA has been deployed there shows that we have an emergency at our Southern Border.

If you will not honor your oath and tackle this crisis head-on, I promise that I will remove you from office and replace you with someone who will.
