You are about to vote on a $1.9 trillion "coronavirus relief" package. Amazingly, only $825 billion is actually earmarked for Covid-19 relief. The rest is going towards expansions of progressive programs, pork, and unrelated policy expenditures.

The bill's authors decided to sneak in $12 billion for foreign aid, including $750 million for "global health" programs. I would love an explanation for how spending MORE on foreign aid will help stimulate the American economy...

The same goes for the combined $470 million set to go to the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the National Endowment of the Arts and the Humanities. Why is it that whenever Democrats keep using Covid relief to fund the arts?

The bill is also packed with infrastructure spending. $100 million would go to a tunnel project in Silicon Valley and $1.5 million to finish a bridge connecting New York and Canada. If you are going to fund infrastructure, do it in a separate bill and debate the merits. Don't sneak this wasteful spending into a Covid-19 relief bill...

Sure, $128.5 billion is earmarked for schools in the bill, but the vast majority cannot be used until the 2022 Fiscal Year, at the earliest. Some of it is even stretched out until 2028. This has nothing to do with re-opening schools. If it did, the money would be spent this year, not next...

The legislation also includes $86 billion to bail out two-hundred different union pension programs and $350 billion to bail out cities and states. Both of these shortfalls stem from years of greed and mismanagement. They were teetering on the brink of bankruptcy long before this virus ever reached our shores. And yet, the bill you are about to vote on uses Covid-19 as an excuse to give them unrestricted bailout funds...

The bill provides relief funding for illegal aliens and lifts restrictions blocking abortion clinics from accessing Federal funding. The CBO estimates that the bill will eliminate 1.4 million jobs. Instead of saving the jobs most affected by the lockdowns, it would instead offer a $21k bonus to Federal employees who were "affected by the virus."

Republicans offered 286 amendments to this package and Democrats only allowed two of them to be added... This is disgraceful.

You must vote against this bill. You must STOP the tax-and-spend Democrats from pushing through this disgustingly wasteful bill.

You will not get away with this. You will not get away with wasting this money like this and then pretending that it is in the name of "Covid-19 relief."
