President Trump did nothing wrong.

On January 6th, he stood on the National Mall and gave a speech in which he called on protesters to "peacefully" march on the US Capitol. During that speech, the President exercised his first amendment rights. Not only did he engage in free speech, but he used the speech as an opportunity to petition Congress for a redress of grievances.

Trump had every right to give that speech and as the Supreme Court has ruled, the government cannot criminalize constitutionally protected speech.

Essential to Donald Trump's case is the argument that he was discussing legitimate grievances. However, when Donald Trump asked his lawyers to make this argument, five of them quit out of fear of being cancelled. When Trump hired two new lawyers who agreed to defend him in his trial, the Leftist Mob tried to cancel them and even have their law degrees revoked.

Now, your colleagues are threatening to vote to convict the President if his legal team presents any evidence of voter fraud at the trial. Just like when Trump was blocked from deposing Hunter or Joe Biden during his first impeachment trial, your colleagues want to block him from actually mounting a defense that proves his innocence.

This trial is a sham. We now have Republican jurors, who swore an oath to be impartial, openly and unapologetically blackmailing a defendant to stop them from mounting an effective legal defense. This is unconscionable.

On the other side of the aisle, Democrat jurors, who swore the same oath of impartiality, are openly declaring that Trump should be convicted before a single piece of evidence is presented to them.

In the interest of justice, the article of impeachment must be withdrawn and the charge dismissed.

Constitutionally protected speech cannot incite a riot. Jurors cannot blackmail a defendant.

This violates every basic tenet of the American justice system and cannot be allowed to continue.

I am demanding that you force a vote to dismiss this nonsense impeachment article. Any juror who proves to be too biased to render an impartial verdict must be censured. But if the trial does move forward, then Donald Trump must be allowed to mount a full legal defense without fear of blackmail.

For years, Democrats have chanted that 'no President is above the law.'

This sham trial proves that many in Congress believe President Trump should be beneath the law and denied the basic rights afforded to all Americans.

You need to shut this down NOW or I promise when all is said and done, you will be the one who gets removed from office...
